Variety really thought this disgusting SCUM was a great choice for their "Power of Women" when she spent the last couple of months cheering for airstrikes on women and children and is by far one of the most vocal celebs about their support for Israel. Did she say anything about the women in Gaza getting carpet bombed, sexually assaulted, and raped by the IOF, having c sections without anesthesia or painkillers, 0 access to sanitary products and water, being forced to use birth control pills to delay their period, a looooot more atrocities that they have to live on a daily basis?

Literally imperial feminism 101. **** this ****

I don't think aligning your beliefs as being similar to Amy Schumer is going to net you many points, given that she openly was reprehensible in her actions on social media over the past 6 months.

This damage control. We remember everything she said.

… which is what, exactly?:gaycat6:

I'm genuinely asking, because as far as I can tell her cancellation stems from her condemnation of Hamas, calling for the release of hostages as well as her calling out of media outlets for publishing Hamas propaganda. Your comment is acting as if she had actively advocated for Israeli policies.

To be honest, I think she is a Jewish woman living in America, where antisemitism has grown exponentially since the start of the conflict (just look at the current campus protests) and she feels a responsibility to speak out about that.

Of course, as a public figure with a large following, one could argue that she also has a responsibility to condemn both war criminals in the conflict and not only critique Hamas. After all, that's the exact argument used by most pro-Israeli folks to counter any criticism of Israel ("what about Hamas?!"). However, I don't see anyone who is only blaming Israel without mentioning a word about Hamas and their contribution to the killing of Palestinian civilians getting cancelled:toofunny2:

If I have missed something she has said, then that's on me. If not, I find it funny how people are so ready to jump on a hate train against a Jewish woman for publicly taking stances against an organization that for decades had in its founding charter the objective of finishing what Hitler couldn't.

1. Bernice King had to clarify MLK's message when Schuner used a clip of him speaking out of context.

His daughter, Bernice King, 60, corrected Schumer, posting on X, formerly known as Twitter, "Amy: Certainly, my father was against anti-Semitism, as am I," she wrote.

"He also believed militarism (along with racism and poverty) to be among the interconnected Triple Evils," she continued. "I am certain he would call for Israel's bombing of Palestinians to cease, for hostages to be released … and for us to work for true peace, which includes justice."

2. She claimed that those criticizing her messaging "hated Jews"

3. She has been blatantly Islamaphobic and repeatedly generalized all Gazan people

4. This rant

5. She has repeatedly and blindly defended Israel's military actions

Quote

The comedian spoke out in an Instagram Story post, in which she accused a number of media outlets in the West of "blaming Israel" for the hospital explosion "without fact checking." She also called for editors at specified outlets to be fired.

Schumer's comments came after there was an explosion at the al-Ahli Hospital in the northern Gaza Strip. The Palestinian Health Ministry said some 500 people—many of them displaced under an Israeli evacuation order—were killed in the explosion.

It's insane how this lady is still ~relevant considering the last time she contributed anything notable to the culture was back when Obama was president!!!

That's the fundamental nature of a nepo baby — they don't have to actually accomplish anything. A dumb girl / dumb guy with connections can still get attention.

I'm sure they know all that, it's just the newest Zionazi dupe acting all aloof and diplomatic before the mask comes off. :gaycat6:

It's so telling how she can't go into detail over the "what" is going in Gaza and the "what" in Netanyahu's politics she disagrees with it. It will cost her a lot and not sound genuine after her previous post history. Damage Control 101

Regina Spektor tried to pull the same. She can go in mad detail about the hostages and Israel, but never into the many atrocities being done towards Palestinians ever since (and before). It's like they need that veil to make their self-defense narrative make any sense instead of recognizing the complete  imbalance of military violence that's been taking place for years
