This is actually so beautiful. I hope more countries with recent colonial pasts do this.

Latvia also renamed a lot of Russian related streets in the capital Riga because of the war with Ukraine and now those streets celebrate real historically important Latvians.

Good thing, many Canadian cities here get their names from Aboriginal languages like Quebec, Ottawa, Toronto, etc.
