This right here. Just last week, Taylor has had multiple older albums sell 10k+ copies in pure sales, and for this upcoming week HDD is predicting three more to sell an additional 7-9k copies. These are albums that have been out for years at this point and have already sold over 1M or even 2M copies, and yet are still selling better than pop girl albums that have been released just this past year. Her fanbase isn't that big that a 2019 Taylor Swift album would sell thousands of copies weekly in 2024. It's all the GP at this point. 12

She will probably do 700-800k which is still higher than any non-Adele/Taylor first week sales since Bey in 2013 The edit 1
Gossip_Boy Posted May 1 Posted May 1 I don't **** with Morgan Wallen but why are people acting he's smashing every single week? Lol. He's undeniably the second biggest artist in US only behind Taylor. And most importantly he's milking his albums for all they worth. He's currently on his 8th(!) single. Ngl it's refreshing seeing someone giving a proper rollout instead of abandoning the album a month (at most) after after release like most do these days even if he doesn't appeal to me. 3

Lemon Posted May 1 Posted May 1 (edited) Are some people really going to feel better about themselves if someone says Taylor Swift's music is only consumed by fans and no one else? If that's what is necessary to compensate lack of hobbies and other healthy interests, then yes, we can say that. Hopefully, this confirmation helps some to find peace and happiness. I REALLY need the popgirls to work on giving fans AT LEAST 4 proper singles again...like that used to be the bare minimum back in the day lol. I get times have changed but even if a song doesnt smash right off the gates it does end up helping the album overall to have more singles...like even a "flop" single tends to have more streams than a regular album track. I know labels are becoming stingy and stuff but like come on now...if you're a multi millionaire you can afford a low budget mv or something...I mean even youtubers pay for their own low budget mvs
