now what the hell happened to the UK that sales TANKED

Brexit.

But really, where haven't sales tanked?  If you looked at the largest debut weeks anywhere, they across the board are lower.  The U.S., might look a little off just because Taylor is a machine, but other than her and Adele, the last time a MPG debuted with over 500k was Beyoncé's lemonade 8 years ago.

This and 30 are #1 and #2. I would guess Ed might be there somewhere. And Harry

They asked about last decade.  Last decade it's 25 with more than 800,000 units

I mean, the UK excluding streams from a long album isn't helping their market numbers either.

Arctic Monkeys also did 100k+ with their latest album iirc.

OT: What a massive debut. :deadbanana2:

You're right, overlooked that cause it was the same week as Midnights

I believe this is the fifth highest selling first-week sales by a non-British artist after 'Bad', 'The Immaculate Collection', 'Achtung Baby' and 'Ta-Dah' (Scissor Sisters)
