18 pages of what exactly?

Just popped in to see the conversation has devolved to a Madonna stan talking about Gaga :rip:

Can you come up with something else.gif

Billie Jean and Vogue were released at the peak of the vinyl era, Crazy in Love and Toxic were released at the peak of the CD and TRL era, and Umbrella and We Found Love were released at the peak of the downloads era. I get some of what you're arguing to an extent, but they're not fair comparisons.

What does this have to do with anything? Also, vinyl was declared dead by the time Vogue came out.

billie jean, creep, i always love you, my heart will go on, make you feel my love, like a prayer, lose yourself, in the end, baby one more time,...

i mean, these songs are still popular around the world despite being old, streamed a lot everyday (some are way less than others but still), being covered, mentioned, referenced in different types of media so to me, they are classics.

taylor probably has shake it off, love story and you belong with me but she's still on top after 18 years and had been denying access to her hits for quite some times so it's harder to judge

Ok you kinda picked obvious ones, but based on what Swifties say, Taylor's tracks get more streams then some of these so they would be more famous 💀 which of course is not true and they get mad at people pointing it out.

Even if you don't like her, Taylor was unescapable for the GP during 2023

This is such base level trolling :rip: Cruel Summer is objectively a massive hit, never mind songs from previous years.

she's the number one artist in the world = no hits tho!!!11!!!1!1

cruel summer's numbers alone from last year makes it a massive hit comparing them to other sizable smashes = obsessed with charts and numbers!!!1!11!1!!

shake it off was one of the biggest songs in the last decade = my mother and friends do not know her so it wasn't that big!!!1!1!2!

every opinion is in its right to be posted here, if you are a 30+ year old grown man who for some reason hates taylor and for some reason keeps asking their closest ones if they know her expecting a certain response, then you are free to explain in this thread how your 70 year old mother and 45 year old coworker couldn't name a song by her

denying overall numbers, the only way music can be factually checked, because of your stuck-in-2004 experience tells you otherwise just makes you look dumb :spring:

Yes dear, 30 and 40 year olds are the GP we are referring to. People with jobs not knowing a Taylor song is an indication that she doesn't have a true generational classic. Cruel Summer being mass streamed by her fanbase and a bunch of TikTok addicted 15 year olds like that girl sobbing outside her concert doesn't make it Billie Jean. It's a hit but not a CLASSIC.

On another note, why are Swift fans so defensive and insecure? They go on and on all day about her being the biggest since the Beatles or whatever but some irrelevant 70 year old (according to them) says she has no classics and it's 18 pages of crying and fuming and seething. Why is that? If she really was that important her status would speak for itself, no?

I am not reading through 18 pages, but are some of you guys lying about not knowing who the Pet Shop Boys are? How do you not know this song…

It's such a classic!

According to who?

OT: Her discography is literally full of classics, and ATRL denying it won't change this fact :rip:

It's a hit, not a massive hit.

It's like the eighth or ninth bestselling single of last year.

No way that's massive, otherwise there would be like nine or ten massive hits every year by your definition

It spent 34 weeks in the top 10. It will eventually become the most streamed female song on Spotify. Y'all truly don't live in reality :priceless:
