Why does she refer to herself in third person? She's so OTT and full of grandeur, but her career is so small stakes.

Remember old mixtapes artist would put out making their own songs over popular instrumentals. That's what Ava Max does. She doesn't really alter the sample much or at all. Which is why she gets this comment so often.

"When I do a sample, I do it tastefully." I dunno about that. There's nothing particularly refined about how her producers utilize samples, at times it actually feels lazy. I've seen rappers who've sampled songs in more interesting ways.
