Fleahive Posted September 12 Posted September 12 I wish the rap girls would make a non explicit song. It's hard to enjoy when they have to pause every other word. She still did great tho

The Music Industry Posted September 12 Posted September 12 Just now, Cruel Summer said: This doesn't feel like all that much of an event, honestly, with only like four awards presented. Like what's the actual occasion? "Various celebrities are in this large room and Katy Perry is attempting a label-supported comeback" or something? The self-referential nostalgia moments are cute, sure, but let's also consider the art form - music videos - purportedly celebrated by this show lol "Celebrities" is a big word too. I mean, most of the performances were by washed up artists way past their prime, or by newcomers not yet known by the masses outside of the stan world. Extremely uneventful VMAs unfortunately
1989 Posted September 12 Posted September 12 If you think about it, this is pretty classic Taylor awards show behavior it's only been in recent years that them cutting to her after anything happens has become the focal point, like pre-Lover we'd catch her dancing to like 2-3 songs at most (like most celebs) and she did spend a lot of time backstage
Gerardo Posted September 12 Posted September 12 Id understand that many performances if they were all A-listers, no one cared about Halsey, Camila, Lenny and Teddy swims, and they coudlve put Tyla (fantastic performer) and Shaboozey with the biggest song of the year
