Dylangaga Posted September 12 Posted September 12 There are more Bacardi commercials than awards being presented 1

Jacobdaniel Posted September 12 Posted September 12 i like chappell roan, but i don't think i see in her what everyone else sees. she's good tho! 2
MonsterTown Posted September 12 Posted September 12 i am going to have nightmares tonight bacardi i luv it 1
Abracadabra Posted September 12 Posted September 12 Kinda surprised Billie isn't attending/performing tonight 1
Yes, AND Posted September 12 Posted September 12 Katy's performance was unbelievably good. No one can touch her on a live stage. The new girls just dont compare. 2
Rotunda Posted September 12 Posted September 12 2 minutes ago, CottageHore said: Meh. Chappell sounded great unlike everybody else tonight but that performance was kind of whatever. Why did she go with that theme? I wish she came with her full camp, upbeat look and did part of HTG! Imagine if she instructed the whole crowd to do the dance? This night sucks lowkey The Joan of Arc theming makes a lot of sense tbh. Chappell is supposed to be a "drag persona" and Joan of Arc is probably the go-to historical example of female "crossdressing". 2 1
Jacobdaniel Posted September 12 Posted September 12 katy's entrance and the flying choreo during ET was sick. and the rest of the performance was really strong too! I'm an OKH, but i have to give it to her
Jack! Posted September 12 Posted September 12 Chappell was great. One note would be I do feel like she missed the opportunity to do a medley and try get a bit more of a boost on her other songs floating around on the Hot 100, especially the ones closer to the top 10 like Hot to Go! and Pink Pony Club maybe. But I understand the VMA's as a platform are not as huge as they used to be, plus perhaps she and her team aren't interested in boosting these other songs much more. It does make sense to focus on the song that's still in the top 10 and her biggest hit. 2

1989 Posted September 12 Posted September 12 Chappell did great and I liked the theme, but it wasn't quite the "I have arrived" moment that justifies canceling tour dates. I'd even venture to say sending in a prerecorded tour performance would've been fine—I feel like she's had more interesting performances before. No denying she can out sing every other girl in that room tonight, my fave and your fave included. 2
BlueBlue Posted September 12 Posted September 12 I mean.... Taylor is getting video of the year probably so it's perfect time to announce rep TV
Green Posted September 12 Posted September 12 Is Reputa TV coming in 2024? Because if it's coming in 2025 it would make more sense to announce it at the Grammys
jeffersonairplanes19 Posted September 12 Posted September 12 Shawn left right after his performance so he probably didn't see Sabrina performing taste so sadly we not getting no mess
BoricuaMonster Posted September 12 Posted September 12 I just recently discovered Chappell (late to the party I know) and really like her songs. She gives vocals, visuals, and low key see some mix of Gaga and Florence. I get the hype. Performance was good too.
