Why are y'all pretending like negative/mixed Pitchfork reviews aren't always discussed/dissected on this site?

Taking Pitchfork seriously is not mutually exclusive with discussing or dissecting with whatever dribble they're farting out I fear :chick3:

I'd argue that a lot of the discussion happening in this moment isn't really serious. We're talking about comparing scores for JLo and Taylor Swift :gaycat6:

Pitchfork sometimes hits and sometimes misses, but each review kinda has to be viewed in a vacuum. The scores don't always make sense across artists, or even just across eras from the same artist.

Monique said it best: Sometimes you fave to forgo doing what's popular in order of doing what's right.

Reverse ageism :michael: Pitchfork saw Taylor still dominating hard past the pop star expiration age of 30 so they had to throw a stone..

This Is Me... Now is actually a really good album. There's a clear theme, it's cohesive, a NORMAL amount of tracks and only suffered commercially because J.Lo's a non-event when it comes to releasing music nowadays (and I say that with love). TTPD is just way too bloated, the reason why I Can Do it With a Broken Heart is having a moment is because it's one that you can distinctively point out. The rest sound the same. Of course TTPD has some great moments, but it's a daunting experience to listen to it from start to finish

Because TIMN is well produced, it has good melodies and a theme; while 31 songs that not only sound the same but also similar to the past albums doesn't make the cut.
