Lowkey relieved she's losing the #1, because that finally takes the spotlight off of TTPD. Now people can stop worrying about its performance on the charts and start focusing on what actually matters.

I actually hope she goes home empty handed. I'll not stand another album by Jack and the other skinny old guy that I forgot the name

THIS. It's time to bring in new people.
Aaron & Jack, thank you for what you did but we had enough Animated GIF

the way she shut down all the rep tv rumors by simply dropping an instrumental on spotify is hilarious

I don't think HDIE? should've been on the standard simply because the two halves of the album are perfectly separated, imo. I mean, I won't debate anyone who thinks that a song here or there should've been removed from either side, but she did a good job separating out the two sides.

HDIE? fits the Anthology so perfectly as a second track 5, and honestly, I'm starting to wonder if it's one of the best songs of her entire career. Was blasting it at full volume in the car and the full body chills I got were insane… it was practically an out of body experience. So I'm starting to wonder if I'd place it even above some of my other all-time GOATs like cardigan, State of Grace,

It's a bold statement to make, I know, but I said what I said. It is one of THEE best songs she's ever released. From the vocal delivery, to the lyricism, to the production. Just superb.

The album was huge though ... with some additionnal variants to manipulate the  charts to her advantage. I like the album a lot but I dont know if i adore it. Fearless, 1989 and Rep are still my faves with Red TV,folklore and Midnights a close second. Then probably Evermore, TTPD and hopefully self titled debut TV thats coming...

Are those trolls or something? Idgi.

How is an 11th week #1 that broke records in physicals and streaming "not performing well on the charts?" It's still doing 20m on Spotify, still selling physicals.

It's doing better than any other album out there, but it's still not performing well enough?

I'm increasingly impatient for Reputation TV, as much as I adore this album. I hope we get it in the fall.

"Big decline" "fell off" meanwhile its units in week 13 would still put it at #1 in like 7 different weeks earlier this year ddd

Are y'all reading something I don't? Because I don't remember saying anything negative about its performance. All I'm saying is that I have no problem with her losing the #1 because now people will (hopefully) stop being so heavily focused on his chart performance and start talking about what matters, the music.

I know English is not my first language but I don't think my post was that hard to understand. But judging by the fact y'all are putting words in my mouth for some reason "not performing well on the charts", "big decline", "fell off", I don't think I'm the problem this time around.

Oh I didn't realize that member was referring to you as a troll, my bad, I thought we were all talking about people in other threads. :rip:  I was specifically talking about a few comments in the HDD thread and some stuff I've seen on X from others

Fair enough, my bad I thought I was the troll saying negative things because of your reaction.

But I wasn't referring exclusively to "trolls" in my original post. Just everyone that lets the performance of this album have way more importance/meaning than it should, fans and haters alike.

Oh no that's not what I meant at all! Sorry if it came out that way, I was genuinely asking if what you meant was about trolls mocking it's performance, I was confused if you meant trolls or fans, not that you're a troll, you're one of the best members here, I would never

The trolls faux concern for the performance of the album in the HDD thread is so tired ddd

I do agree with your sentiment! The shoe had to drop at some point, she can't reasonably monopolize the #1 spot for eternity ddd so there's less drama once the streak has been broken finally. And I'm glad it's by someone like Eminem who no one here really cares about so it's less annoying ddd

Rep no grammys (antonoff)

Lover no grammys (antonoff)

Midnights won but i don't think she expected to win with that and made TTPD with the same team before the grammys 2024. I don't get this narrative she makes music based on grammys. The internet gives so much credit to that thing, it's literally a thing people talk about for 10 seconds and 99% of the world doesn't remember who won the year before.

I mean winning your first grammy, your first grammy for AOTY or a major category, is something you want but once you made it you made it. I can't with the gay making an entire year to analyze popstar moves in the prospective of the grammys

She cared for Rep cause that was a total snub + like a sign even the industry was turning its face. Now she is loved again and won other 2 AOTY so while she's touring the biggest tour of all time i don't think she cares about grammys. She clearly didn't cared for Midnights too, made nothing to campaign.
