i love the instrumental tbh. i think it's the lyrics and delivery that are so juvenile and beneath her. i hate this song. i think it's so corny and does absolutely nothing to help her image right now when everyone is clowning her music on tiktok and saying that it's the sonic equivalent to unseasoned chicken. i'd say there are hardly any good single choices on this album but GAS? is right there and it's QUALITY.

And you think those people are arguing in good faith to begin with? Nobody who listened to the entirety of TTPD could possibly say something like that :toofunny3:

Nobody even says that stuff other than stans of others and of course, her own fans.

if a random song was "hurting her image" like they said, why is she and this album so popular with everyone else? If she's "unseasoned chicken" why does the general public seem to love her?

There's something very odd about that group of fans she has that insult her because they have fallen to online troll comments , the reality isn't online and I think some people don't get that

Ot, I barely noticed the boy in willow had dark long hair :bibliahh: the whole music video concept is him taking her out of the cabin,

this bish really did this whole thing right in front of Toejam:rip:

THANK YOU. I swear i'm so sick and tired of Swifties who are just desperate for other fanbases to like them/respect them, they need to understand that those people hate Taylor for entirely irrational reasons, especially when you see the kind of artists they stan. Those people have hated Taylor for well over a decade and they will NEVER change their minds about her no matter what. A lot of it comes from bitterness over Taylor's massive success, not her supposed "shortcomings" as an artist :toofunny3:

Pick Me Swifties need to go away seriously, the way they give more credit to online trolls instead of looking at the GP who's loving Taylor is really telling about the kind of bubble they live in. Taylor doesn't even have more haters than other pop girls, it's just that her haters are WAY more vocal about her than haters of others pop girlies. Hating Taylor is popular online but it's an astroturfed movement, not a genuine popular opinion.

Yes Taylor is generally beloved. It's always in the lists of the most loved and respected women voted by journalists and people.

The "problem" right now It's the relationship with Kelce added to the pop culture followers another group of very vocal haters are the sport fans. A target in general doesn't care about pop culture. You have a lot of men just hating on her cause She is the girlfriend of someone of the opposite team (yeah as gay hate celebritries for the most random and useless reasons sportsmen are like that with sport things- or they hate when a player has a famous partner cause can distract him or more popular than him etc...).

Robin is definitely one of the best songs she's ever done and I wish more people talked about it. It feels like Ronan's little sister thematically and is very overlooked.

The way I literally just had the album on shuffle and turned the whole thing off when Robin started :bibliahh:

it really is a beautiful song but I can only hear it in tracklist order, it should never stray

Every single Taylor album has one of those overlooked songs that i absolutely fall in love with but that most of the fanbase seems to ignore. For example i ADORE Epiphany but most Swifties don't seem to care about it :monkey:

And it's such a unique song about childhood. It's not really comforting or optimistic about the topic, it's an "enjoy it while it lasts cause it won't last long and real life sucks" song, which is pretty dark even for an album as dark and depressing as ttpd.

Oh I love Robin, it's like It's Time to Go from Evermore or Bye Bye Baby from Fearless TV. All amazing songs but are not being given a chance.

I have such an emotional connection to it. My sister got pregnant this year and I instantly think of my (future) nephew when i listen to it
