Taylor Swift - 'THE TORTURED POETS DEPARTMENT'

When she does a London Boy/TIWWCHNC mashup (cutting at the end of the LB chorus and continue with the "Hahaha, I can't even say it with a straight face") on the guitar followed by So Long, London on the piano at the last Wembley Show... A CONCEPT :WAP:

Not precisely, but we think it will be some kind of left field pop potentially soft rock influenced.

Wasn't that what ppl thought about Midnights too?

HATE this era of no pre-album singles from her, & i hate even more that it very clearly works :clack:

I wonder what's gonna replace Mid Mayhem, or is that scrapped cuz of the tracklist leak :clack:

More variants, track length and maybe producers.

I kinda love it. Experiencing the entire album at once is an amazing feeling. Pre-release singles always feel out of place on the album in the beginning for me. It's like they don't belong.

What I hate is that she's announcing them more than two months in advance. Just a month would be fine. But rack up those pre-orders I guess. :clack:

I wouldn't be complaining considering how far in advance some of her projects have been announced, i.e. Red TV & Reputation

Well, that is not her fault though. Besides, this album is clearly not being pop in vein of Midnights and has more obvious vibe.

The entire aesthetic gave that vibe. The soft 70s look didn’t fit the music whatsoever.

Vintage synths, subdued production and somber/low key melodies = quietness of night time, self reflective lyrics on literally every song about past and current misdemeanours, etc. Midnight Rain alone fits the aesthetic to the T. Either way, softer sound is definitely what we have gotten with it for the most part.

The album is gonna be pop. Pop songs radio can play, everyone of them.

People are waiting for experimental music can disappear now or at least not being annoying on 19th April when their pointless expectations will be failed s:wan:

Let's hope it's not again alt rock influenced pop (yeah midnights is influenced by lo-fi alt rock, so what Swifties think is "basic production" cause It's not overproduced pop it's just well researched and executed lo-fi bedroom pop..you know see the concept and the title :chick1:) .

And let's hope it's not again triumphalistic synt pop (something Swifties like more even for songs worst produced than midnights peaks cause well they like pop music more than rock music) cause is from 1989 she's doing that somehow in every album.

And i don't want 80s inspired pop cause It's everywhere and it's tired now. I don't want music based on percussions and electronic synths.

I want pop music made with "every" instrument, the piano and an electric Guitar together, pure clean pop there is not swedish pop. Everything It's okay jf lyrics are great and melodies strong.

I mean Red or speak now but the Red or speak now someone It's 35 and not 20 would make. It's not even "that complicated".

No one is really expect her to drop some crazy experimental album or full rock album. Whatever she releases, it's gonna be more or less pop. We just don't want this to be full synth pop album again (but even if it is, we're still gonna EAT). But with this aesthetic I expect her to move more towards alt field. Florence's music is a great example of what would be great for this album to be.

Again, by the structure and melodies it's gonna be more pop anyway, but in terms of sound it would be great to have some indie-rock smashes on the album. Not like the WHOLE album, but just a few tracks. She have a great voice, but somehow she almost never use it to actually reflect her feelings. Powerful moments like WCS's bridge and illicit affairs live are something that we need more. I want her to reflect her anger through heavy vocals and drums, not just bitter lyrics.

Also, she didn't wrote august and created this whole folklore triange for swifties to drag Emma Laird lol. Even if Joe cheated on Taylor, there's no point in attacking that beautiful woman s:wan:

Also, heard the snippet of Down Bad on tiktok. Just how with Fortnight, it's easier to define AI by the lyrics of those snippets, 'cause it's usually something way too simple to be on the album that called The Tortured Poets Department.

Ohhh that Down Bad snippet :WAP: if these leaks aren’t real maybe AI is making some points:katie2:
