Arsenal crash out of the Champions League

Arsenal, the smallest football club in London, has crashed out of the Champions League after a 1-0 defeat to Bayern Munich.

The tournament is the highest level club competition in the world.

The club's failure to achieve any success in Europe in its history stands in stark contrast to its neighbours. Tottenham Hotspur has won the Uefa Cup (now known as the Europa League) twice, giants of the game Chelsea have won two Champions Leagues and two Europa Leagues, and even West Ham boast a Conference League title to their name.

Arsenal's latest failure is sure to come under internal and external scrutiny after the club spent £1 billion and trusted former Barcelona B player Mikel Arteta with the keys over the last five years. The club hasn't won major silverware since the 2003/4 season and has suffered the indignity of one of its players, Declan "Basmati" Rice, pooping himself on the pitch.

With their exit at the quarter finals, Arsenal have also lost the opportunity to play at the Club World Cup in 2025.

Chelsea and Manchester City, the most successful teams in the Premier League over the past two decades, will be the only two teams representing England.

After visiting a local primary school, manager Mikel Arteta and football director Edu were inspired to dissemble Arsenal's dusty trophy cabinet and replace it with a "Golden Moments" wall.

Arsenal supporters really thought they would win everything this year :bibliahh:

I didn't even care about this small club, but after the way their fans acted with contempt for Porto and braged that Arsenal would humiliate us now i want Arsenal to lose everytime.

Anyway, City has just been knocked out too. Chelsea remains the most successful English club in European football this century!

Supporting a football club and certain individual players is actually more entertaining than stanning popstars these days imo. I encourage you all to get into it!

their first time playing champions league football in 7 years mind you

:clack:

so confident they were going to win a competition they have no heritage in, and a double or treble when they haven't won a big trophy in 2 decades mind you
