JoeAg Posted May 1 Posted May 1 oh sh*t I didn't know we had a thread here!! this show was incredible, and thoroughly relatable in so many ways to me as a stressed out bisexual in my late 20s who has reckoned with trauma here's my letterboxd review: https://letterboxd.com/joealienprince/film/baby-reindeer/ 1
Bimbo Posted May 1 Posted May 1 Ouu I feel bad cause everyone here is praising it but I really found this to be quite a self-indulgent project. Obviously feel horrible for what happened to him but there's something about him that made it hard for me to fully connect. Even in the most emotional scene (the breakdown at the competition finale) I thought it felt almost too canned? Like a parody of deep, sad scenes in movies but this character loves himself too much while pretending to hate himself too much. The Martha actress is SO good though. The dad too 2

Arcadia Posted May 1 Posted May 1 what a great show. i think the ending was so well done and relatable even though i hate that i can relate to a lot of the main character's toxic traits. 2

Brooklyn Baby Posted May 3 Posted May 3 Omg this was one of the saddest things I've ever watched. I'm so glad it's getting the recognition and is blowing up 1
eclipsed Posted May 3 Posted May 3 This show straight up felt like depression feels. Amazingly done though 1
Miles. Posted May 3 Posted May 3 Just watched the first three episodes and WOW. One of the best things I've seen in a while. So brilliant yet unsettling at the same time. Can't wait to finish. 1

Marla Singer Posted May 9 Posted May 9 This show deserves all the praise. I probably wouldn't watch it again because it is pretty dark and intense, even with the dark humour mixed in. Watching the Piers Morgan interview now, and I can't believe how the actress portrayed her so perfectly without ever meeting or knowing her. That is EXACTLY how you would expect Martha to act. 3

Almodusa Posted May 11 Posted May 11 With Shōgun in Drama now, this has a much clearer path at the Emmys 3
