Automatic Posted May 31 Posted May 31 Love all the promo she's doing. She typically stays to herself so I'm living for the content. 1
Automatic Posted June 3 Posted June 3 Her new Tiny Desk set is out. She looks & sounds amazing + she performed two new songs 1
TryMe Posted June 4 Posted June 4 I never really did a deep dive on Tems, but she gives off such a warmth. I will def check out Born In The Wild this friday. 2
Automatic Posted June 5 Posted June 5 Album countdown is up on Spotify. Despite the album having eighteen tracks, the runtime is around 55 minutes. Happy I don't have to wait until local time to listen, either.

Automatic Posted June 7 Posted June 7 I can't believe it's finally out omg There are so many songs so I need to listen a few times to take everything in but so far, I'm obsessed with 'You in My Face' like wow
TheFlyingRobot Posted June 7 Posted June 7 (edited) Going to be deadly honestly, I didn't like this album at all, disappointed. If Orange Was a Place was good, so many songs on there that I liked. I really don't like a single song on this, even Born in the Wild song completely different to the version used in the trailer. Edited June 7 by TheFlyingRobot
Draper. Posted June 7 Posted June 7 This is really mellow and enjoyable, will need a few listens tho.
TryMe Posted June 7 Posted June 7 I really liked this on first listen. Hew voice is such an instrument, it's like a hot shower after a long *ss day. However I do wished the production was more elevated. But I for sure need to give it a few more spins to unpack. 1
sweetkiss Posted June 7 Posted June 7 super disappointed with the album which is crazy cause I love her EPs. her debut album is so basic. strongest tracks: wickedest, turn me up, me & u everything else is mid worst: interludes which were waste of time especially voices in my head and worst offense is in the start of the album, it took too long to get to the bop, idk whose idea is that, nobody will waste 3 min to question the mess idk, ill listen because its not HORRIBLE, but i expected so much more, shes crazy good vocalist, turn me up is proof
Automatic Posted June 7 Posted June 7 The way this album truly hits after the third listen >>> I love it tbh. I'm not sure if this was what I originally expected but I'm happy with what she gave us. My main critique is that I wished there were more Afrobeats dominant songs simply bc she sounds so good on those. I wonder how her OG fans feel about this album. It's more R&B than anything else. The Sade influence on the record is most pleasing to me It's always been obvious that Tems is inspired by her but it's louder here than anything else she's done. My faves outside of the singles are Get It Right, Ready, Gangsta, Forever, Unfortunate & You in My Face.
elvenOCEAN Posted June 7 Posted June 7 I've no idea who Tems is, but she is definitely the most pleasant discovery of the week for me. Unbelievably beautiful cover (as well as the rest of the photoshoot)! Standouts: Born in the Wild ( ) Love Me JeJe (puts me in such a good mood) Burning You In My Face Hold On Me & U
