Stepfon Posted April 12 Posted April 12 Oh wow, I am shocked, the show is basically background noise though. 1
Vermillion Posted April 12 Posted April 12 The show was a trainwreck from Day 1. The View was saved from their ship sinking several times with constant drastic behind-the-scenes producer, cast, and theme changes and has now finally reached an equilibrium and have been rewarded from all that hard work and chaos with becoming the #1 talk show in daytime but this poor cousin copycat never bothered, mostly out of fear from producer Sara Gilbert. The final nail in the coffin was Julie Chen's departure to spend her rapist husband's retirement money, but the beginning of the end was Sharon Osbourne's endless war with Leah Remini. 5
Horizon Flame Posted April 12 Posted April 12 Good. "The View" should be next to go. A bunch of shrieking yentas. 1 2 2
ATRL Administrator Ryan Posted April 12 ATRL Administrator Posted April 12 It’s likely getting replaced with a new black soap opera, the first new soap in 25 years. 3 1
Attitude Posted April 12 Posted April 12 This only lasted as long as it did because of Julie Chen's husband. 2
Bewitched Posted April 12 Posted April 12 (edited) Them making those two men the new co-hosts is where the show went downhill for me. Like I'm sorry but only women should be doing talk shows that involve multiple co-hosts if you're man and wanna do a talk show just do a solo one. Also don't know why everyone's celebrating with Sharone. She's a mess as well. The View remains superior. Edited April 12 by Bewitched 2
Aristede Posted April 12 Posted April 12 I knew it didn't have much time left once they got rid of Sharon.

Oh yeahhh I heard about that…should be interesting. I haven't watched soaps in years (basically since Drucilla was killed off Y&R lol), but I'm thinking about watching this new soap. If nothing else to just show support.

PopMusicJunkie Posted April 12 Posted April 12 Aww, that's too bad. I don't think this show is all that bad, it's a much light-hearted version of The View. However I also think adding men to the panel was a mistake, they're fine as guest co-hosts but not as permanent hosts. Sheryl has been carrying this show for years too.

I discovered the late 80s-early 90s Black soap opera on NBC, Generations, a few months ago and I was hoping they'd bring something like it back to television. It's very hard to find episodes but from what I've seen, it is so iconic
