mercurialworld Posted April 10 Posted April 10 Ever since I was younger, I've always been obsessed with flags. From their bold and vibrant colours to their unique designs, flags have always been a symbol of identity and national pride. Here are some of my faves Brazil (adopted in 1889, she's aged well I fear!) Albania Mexico Belize (also the only national flag to have feet ) Reply with some cute flags you like! 2

I also like the parts in The Big Bang Theory when they did Fun With Flags. 1. I never knew Belize's flag is the only one with hot shirtless men. I should try to visit before Guatemala tries to take over it. 2. Albania's flag and its double-headed eagle are nice. I bought a fridge magnet specially for the eagle symbol. 3. Brazil's mix of colors is nice. The arrangement of the stars has always seemed strange to me, but Wikipedia has informed me that's what the sky in Rio looked like on the day that Brazil became independent, so I won't argue with that. 1
naval23 Posted April 10 Posted April 10 I also love the simplicity of Japan's flag now that I realize simplicity is one of my values 1

With the military coup that ended the brazilian imperial era, that became the new meaning of the colors. but the modern flag came from the late imperial flag: Green represents the House of Braganza and yellow is the House of Habsburg-Lorraine. 2
