Isn't it kind of widely accepted that all kinks are re-enactments of some sort of trauma? I wouldn't do race play (in the same way I also wouldn't do scat or r*pe scenarios), but I'm not sure what anyone can say to him. Kinks are a very personal area and I don't know how easy it is for anyone on the outside to draw a line somewhere, especially under the premise that a fetish is harmful to an entire community, outside of the two people participating. That's a hard conversation.
