Because she didn't spend the time enough in Spain to become a tax resident. The tax authority there always does this to foreign celebs (Cristiano Ronaldo, Messi, Alonso etc.) if you don't know.

She did pay them $14 million but they still took her to court for being late and delinquent….and demanded 30 million more  as a late penalty
