Maybe I'm a cynic, but I think she sees shots about to hit the fan with him and she's cutting her losses. There's no way you can be married to someone for 14 years and this is the first time she's finding out about his inappropriate ways. Now that it's being exposed though she can't sweep it under the rug anymore.

More often than not, especially with cases like these, the men are living multiple lives and have different selves they display in front of certain people. 

 

I'm not saying she had no idea whatsoever, but I wouldn't be surprised if he was convincingly conniving in covering his tracks. 

 

I'm just glad she's separating herself from it.
