set it down on my floor in the box (closed) for a couple hours

went for a couple slices of cold pizza .. was tearing the crust off to have some bites of crust … then something CRAWLS out of the crust

it's a ******* woodlice !!!

I haven't been able to eat pizza since .. the thought that I may have eaten more of them or even its eggs :biblio: every time I think of pizza I think of that big ass woodlice crawling out of that fluffy crust .. i can't

It was a flying cockroach and it attacked while everyone was asleep, I screamed and it flew away. But the next morning, my brother asked if I also heard the siren that went off the previous night.

When I was moving years ago, I got free banana boxes from the supermarket.

Later that night I saw a shadow pass by my bed, I thought it was a mouse. Then minutes later I saw this HUGE banana spider. It was 2am, I flipped. I took the vacuum cleaner and sucked it in, threw the bag away.

GROSSSSSSSSSS

I used to get my dog in but her murder rate has dropped a little low for my liking so I use the hoover (vacuum). I had a friend who used to use deodorant and a lighter… Wouldn't recommend that though

There was this big ass moth in my room last summer that petrified me when I first got into my room and turned on the light. It went bazerk and I didn't know if it was a small bird or what at first. I ended up slapping it with a rag and threw it out the window. I think I either killed it or knocked it unconscious, idk/c.

A huge fly after I opened the window. I'm not afraid of flies. But this one was huge, I never knew they could get that big. I killed it but I was disgusted know where those things been.

I'm terrified of all of them but the latest scare was being woken up at night by a giant queen bee flying out from what I can only guess was below my flooring in the middle of WINTER :skull:

She must have been hibernating there for months after coming through my balcony door

Not an insect, but a lizard once got into my house. :mazen: Eventually I was able to get it out though.

TMI incoming but i used to be really scared of roaches & lizards like a borderline phobia but for some reason after witnessing the death of a very close family member last year among other things i noticed that every fear i've ever had in the past has vanished

Ok, this story has me traumatized. One night I sat at my desk and I saw a BIG shadow on the wall in front of me. I looked up and it was a giant insect with A LOT of legs I've never seen before. I panicked, jumped up and than the the insect began to run. And I mean it RAN. It was so fast as lighning and within a second it was gone. My heart was racing like crazy because I though it was some exotic and venmous insect. I turned on every light and took my apartment apart, until I found it. It was running again, but I managed to catch it with a measuring cup. I googled it and it turned out to be a harmless (but huge) house centipede. I've never seen one bevore and I never knew they live in Europe. They are usually native to the mediterranean, but because of the climate change they spread into other parts of Europe.

um sis, not this when you left us hanging in the car story with your boyfriend :gaycat6: or you did update it I missed it?

yes, spiders. i have to kill them, some people think it's harsh and say i should catch them and release them outside, but i'm literally too freaked out to do anything but kill them.

No I don't live in Australia

2 house centipedes were cornering a spider on my wall once. I went for the vacuum and got the centipedes - I'm sure the spider let out a sigh of relief and thought it was safe but then it got sucked right up and joined them :gaycat4:

one morning i woke up and went straight to the bathroom. my eyes were groggy and i didn't have my contacts or glasses on. as soon as i turned on the light i saw a huge bug and automatically thought it was a cockroach. i got my glasses and saw this crawling around and sprayed a **** ton of febreeze on it so it couldn't move. i've seen a couple others in my room and it freaks me out every time.

I used to not like seeing lizards and geckos in my house; I just hated not knowing where they go whenever they run away and what they're actually doing.  I read about them, though, and they're actually really beneficial to have around as they eat a lot of the insects in our homes that we would consider to be pests. Ever since I researched further and learned that, I just leave them be whenever I spot one every several months—as I can't say that they have ever actually bothered me. If seeing a lizard means not seeing anything else, I'm okay with that.
