Natasha Ramos claims 'from the Bronx' part in 'Jenny From the Block' is her

"I'm Natasha Ramos, and I'm the voice from 'Jenny From the Block,'" the former backing vocalist said in a TikTok video posted on March 26.

In a follow-up video, Ramos said she sang on Lopez's songs "Jenny From the Block," "I'm Glad," "The One," "Loving You" and "Baby I Love U!"

"I feel like all of the other ones, excluding 'Jenny From the Block,' are very much true-blue background vocals," she said in the second video.

"I think the problem with 'Jenny From the Block' is that they kept my laugh, and they kept ad-libs, and they turned her vocals like all the way down, and the 'from the Bronx' part is me," Ramos added.

Ramos said her manager at the time made a deal in which she received $3,500 for recording background vocals on 5 songs.

She said she did not blame Lopez and believed her manager and the record label were at fault.

In a video posted on March 31, Ramos discussed what it was like working with Lopez.

"I did have the chance to work with Jennifer multiple times in the studio," she said, adding, "I met a bubbly, down-to-earth, super—she was just chill. Like, she was Jenny from the block."

Literally no one has EVER sued her. All of the artists were credited and paid. There is ZERO case here.

Natasha defended her years ago, but now that it's trendy to hate on Jen, she's talking ****. Shocker!

no because nothing was stolen, everyone is credit and compensated.

like if I were to point out all the backgrounds Britney, Rihanna and Katy and others have used we would have the same issues.

Yeah like Natasha's version leaked DECADES ago. A simple YouTube search and you can hear her original demo. Listen to the final and you can see what they kept in. Groundbreaking new information!

lmfao, what ?! I never knew this. I understand back-up vocals in music but I don't understand why it's needed in some aspects of songs. This being a prime example. Why couldn't J.Lo say that one-liner herself ? it's not some vocally challenging Whitey Houston-eques effort that would have required Jenifer herself to yell 'From the Bronx!' in her own song...about being from the Bronx. :rip:

Yeah it happens mostly when she can't recreate it or is just not bothered enough to rerecord the parts.

Yeah it's just really lazy. I don't think J.Lo's true passion was ever in music.
