Where are Halsey and Beyoncé? Surely visual albums were also very expensive.

5 million for a Victoria Beckham album that didn't even get a US release... what kind of CRACK were they smoking in early-00s Britain?

5 million for a Victoria Beckham album... and I'm gonna stop now and stay cute.

Oh God, I've forgot about Heidi Montag and her try at being a pop star.

That was a rumor started by Perez Hilton disgusing himself as a random woman on some user-submitted article websites.

Didn't Heidi Montag go broke while making Superficial?

EDIT: NVM just saw her name

They most likely don't have Beyoncé figures, self titled and lemonade should be quite expensive given that they are visual albums

Girlie Heidi slayed it and I've been enjoying her resurengence of late. Superficial is a cult classic.

Yes because of the Dr Luke songs that ended up flopping

I don't think the cost of album creation is public. So this is only the ones that have been reported or speculation

Most of the money (25 mil) went to Gaga herself. The recording budget was less than 10 million. She got 15 million of it to do what she wanted. Actual album was probably like 5 million. She got clauses about renegotiating contracts and stuff as well.

Scream at 'Victoria Beckham', they must've thought she was poised to be a solo superstar back in the day since she was the last Spice Girl to release and had the Beckham association too

Beyonce always gets some sort of deal for her projects …. Her $50M deal with Pepsi paid for ST and the videos as well as tour costs. For Lemonade she had the Topshop/Ivy Park deal before she fully bought Ivy Park from Topshop. For The Gift/Black is King, Disney paid her 25M for the role of an Nala. For Renny/CC she had Tiffany's/Lexus and Verizon.
