Taylor fanboy Posted April 3 Posted April 3 Have you watched the whole series? Thoughts on the the greatest American TV Series of all time?
schnetzka Posted April 3 Posted April 3 I finished season three the other day. I am currently watching multiple different shows so I will get around to the rest of it eventually. So far, the show is really well done and I love the mundane everyday elements of it that series don't really do anymore. I don't think the show would have been as good if it only had 8-episode seasons like most shows do these days.
McNulty Posted April 3 Posted April 3 (edited) Top 5 show for sure, still thinking about the last season Edited April 3 by McNulty
makeme Posted April 3 Posted April 3 Such a great show so complex. HBO was really that girl with the 1-2 punch that was Sex and the City and The Sopranos in 1999. I will say tho. I grew up as a 90s baby in awe of this show and thought it was "cool" I was really thrown off at the insane amount of racism and homophobia that was like WOAHHH (in context to me rewatching it in the 2020s as an adult)

NoAngelus Posted April 3 Posted April 3 I just started watching it last week, 4 episodes in I think, it's good but it's not something that keeps me coming back. I'll try to finish it.
Eóghan Posted April 3 Posted April 3 like many hbo shows from early 2000 like Oz, Six Feet Under and The Wire, it really shaped how I perceive drama tv shows for the last 20 years. and thank god because thanks to these shows I have very low tolerance for trash tv and there's plenty nowadays, especially with streaming era, it's a flood. eternally grateful for "The Sopranos" for building a filter in my brain
