The way he went from being well ahead of the curve on gay rights (defending them in a 2005 interview) to this brain rot  though this is neither recent nor exclusive to just lgbtq+ people, he's been horrible to many communities for a while now.

Of course the conservative notion that natural population decline is bad manages to grab former allies and turn them into homophobic nutjobs.  People, hetero or not, should be having less children.  Why do you need 4 children?  Why does anyone feel pressured to have children?  Why is our definition of economic success for a country always tied to a stable or growing population?  These are outdated and environmentally unsustainable philosophies that need to die.
