Im a vinyl collector,  these will never be rare with the quantity they were produced but Im gonna let you live in your bubble ;)

My best friend owns a hugely successful and reputable collectors shop in NY and has already said quite the opposite. Especially a decade+ out from now, but, thanks for the concern!

Wasnt this the case for Nicki's latest album too or was it another artist?

Why would I complain about having an even more exclusive collector's edition vinyl of an acclaimed Beyoncé album? I make great money and have no issue with it.

This isn't just any album, by any artist.  Please think before typing a response. I was never opening the packaging for any of the physicals I bought, ever. I was always going to be streaming on Spotify. I'm unaffected.

Oh lord… this is why the Hive gets a rep for being up Bey's ass

Not my fault you don't accept reality for what it is. Beyoncé isn't just any artist. Those are facts. You don't have to agree, all the legends sure do.

It's on Amazon, girl. Maybe try 30 - 40 years from now, not a decade.

Season 3 GIF by Parks and Recreation

Vinyl produced in quantity up to 100k, still available in color variants online weeks after announcement plus  will be available at retail in black variant for months and months and months will be highly collectable item in a decade.

you know, if you said you dont care the vinyl is not complete or there is no booklet or images cause you simply love B and you want it in your collection it would be absolutely OK, but to say that they released "beyince" and claiming it to be "cowboy carter" for your own good cause you  will make "great money" on it in future is just ridiculous

Are you still here? I already said what I said.

You don't have to agree. The proof is in the many examples of physical copies of various items that have sold MILLIONS of copies WW still being sought after as long as it's unopened and in mint condition. Ranging from cards to even iPhones.

That's not necessarily true. I've been collecting music for over twenty years, and I never thought I'd see the day when even common 80s records go for $50 a pop. The same ones I bought for $5.

I've got a copy of Mechanical Animals that's worth $140 despite being a major album.

they didn't get what they ordered so of course they'll ask for a refund. I would do the same, idc if I'm a "broke ass *****" then. It's simply scummy to sell an incomplete album without advertising so prior.

Projections went up… so perhaps this thread should be closed. Nobody wants a refund… we want the tour :ducky:

mine hasn't even shipped and i ordered as soon as they were available for preorder  :eddie:

I don't see why this is an issue considering pre-order links were out before a tracklist was...there was no promise made of certain songs, and if an artist decides to add more music to their album right before release, how does that mean they need to refund or discount people who bought the album prior, who also had no knowledge or expectations of the songs anyway.

No, they got exactly what they ordered: a limited-edition CD or a limited-edition vinyl, both for final sale.

Nowhere on the product page did they offer a tracklist of songs, thus no missing song can have been expected by any customer.

I understand fully how disappointing it would be to not receive all the songs offered on streaming services if you plan to consume music only from physical releases, however, there really is nothing about this that fulfils a "they didn't get what they ordered" statement. again, they got a limited edition version, which is exactly what it is.

So they added the revised track listing, which now states 19 tracks lol (they have combined some intros with full tracks) …. But they have now taken out the part where these vinyls were 'Webstore Exclusive' - so basically this version can be sold anywhere now Inc the coloured vinyls - this is possibly one of the worst album rollouts I've experienced.

Those people ordered the CC LE album, but instead they got the Beyince LE album. So it's not what they ordered. :psyduck:

They should just mail everyone a vinyl with the missing songs and move on tbh.

dafuk are you on gurl? how much of a stan you need to be to justify a physical release not having all the songs that come with the album?

sorry but your explanations are absolutely not valid. just because they don't post a tracklist doesn't make it ok for them to cut tracks.

IF your physical release is missing songs, what you should do is not just NOT posting a tracklist and have people be surprised but actually stating it doesn't have all songs on the website. END.

How come your logic is that an album is supposed to be like an easter egg that people pay a lot of money for???

There is no such thing as the BEYINCÉ album though. And if there is, the BEYINCÉ album is just the original (nearly exactly the same) version of COWBOY CARTER, which means it is a limited edition of the album, exactly what they said it was. Now, could they have been more specific? I understand people feeling that they are lacking the full experience, and I am someone who purchased it, but I'm not understanding where anyone was bamboozled. We all bought something on final sale without seeing a track-list, and the track-list you received is basically the same as the track-list you would have assumed you were getting (whatever would be on streaming). Unless you bought it in the day-and-a-half the track-list was released, I can't see why anyone thinks they are owed anything. If Beyoncé had simply omitted the five extra tracks from streaming, would everything be alright?

Agree though to make it right they should offer people a discount to buy the standard (whenever its released) that only has them paying for the missing tracks.

It's a limited edition. This means that in some way, be it cover, colour, tracklist, format, etc. the edition will be limited to that release and unlike the standard album. I have agreed that it seems messy and I understand the core frustration, but the deal some of you are making is far overblown. You bought a final sale limited edition album with no knowledge of its track-list (unless you bought it in the 1.5 days before the record was out when there was a tracklist) and are complaining that Beyoncé dared to add extra songs to it. Because that's what happened. She ADDED songs. She never cut them. The limited edition is the original form of COWBOY CARTER. It is not a reduced form of it, and in fact those who bought the physical limited editions have extra vocals and elements that the standard streaming release does not have. Yes, it sucks to not have all the music that has ultimately been included in this era if you wish to listen to the album physically, but it's not as if anyone were lied to. Adding extra songs to a release should not be that much of an issue, or else from here on out any unannounced exclusive tracks to one release, streaming service, retailer, etc. should be considered a major affront, which it really is not.

The pre sale vinyls from her site are missing five songs and Amazon and Target tracklists are not complete either. Hiding behind limited edition is a cop out.

Its obvious she updated the album last minute.  Why not hold off on selling until the correct albums are pressed?

Why pass off the costs of your uncertainty to your fans?

I think because she was to busy having sex with her man to care

probably because she thought she had something finalized, but ended up changing it again and didn't want to dispose of the original pressings. she should of called a collectors edition and indicated that it was different than the final product.
