And if it weren't a right wing terrorist behind taking these photos, then it would have been posted by a random woman who has a gym membership and that would have gone viral as well. In which I would then be pointing out the obvious. Trans women want privacy and don't want attention shined onto them in private areas like the bathrooms. Individuals, such as the person in the OP, clearly have different motives and desires. 1 2
VenusFlyTrap Posted March 22 Posted March 22 What a drop! on topic - its disgusting how much of a rise transphobia (and queerphobia) seems to be having recently and articles like this only perpetuate and give voices to bigoted points of views. 4

Do you think this is the first ever person to appear masculine within a woman's changing room? Many people understand minding their business, not gawking at strangers, and taking photos of people you don't know, especially when such violates the rules of the business you're in. I'm sorry but this reactionary rhetoric is never going to work. You're not appearing smarter by trying to reach some imagined level of being "reasonable enough" and both-sides'ing an issue. Collectivist movements are just that. Their aim inherently includes the de-stigmatization that people somehow represent their minority identities. An over-sexual cis gay man shaking ass at pride does not "ruin" the gay rights movement. A possible trans woman with 2 inches of hair and black pleated mom sweatpants shaving her beard cannot "ruin" the trans rights movement. You're not actually saying something profound. 15 minutes ago, SmittenCake said: clearly have different motives and desires. This person lives in Alaska. They're clearly living a stealth life. These assumptions don't work. "Who shaves in a gym bathroom"? How do you know this person's not homeless and using gym washrooms as their main rest room? We can come up with a million assumptions. The reality is that this person has been photographed doing nothing inherently sexual. They are being accosted for "looking like a man", suggesting anyone would work out with a full beat and a 48 inch wig on, and that the cis woman here is at the very least lying because young children literally cannot even go to these kinds of gyms even accompanied by an adult. "Small government conservativism' amounting to demanding strangers serve **** mid-workout to be allowed in the women's wash room of a Planet Fitness in a rural Alaskan suburb. If this person was in full glam, padded out body, and done up, she'd be similarly accosted for "making a mockery out of womanhood". You literally accost her and imply something nefarious is afoot because she's also then spotted now out of her "manly" gym clothes and changing into pantyhose - if this is even the same person. Park Jinyoung Posted March 22 Posted March 22 Maybe the person was homeless have you guys thought about that... I mean I see those tiktok/youtube ppl that live in their cars say they keep gym memberships to have a place to shower and use the bathroom. 8
Leppie Posted March 22 Posted March 22 A trans person causing a company to lose 400 million in value. Time to delete earth 2

Compared to some other things I've seen men do in the changing rooms (like using a hair dryer on their balls) it's pretty tame
loveisdead9582 Posted March 22 Posted March 22 Genuinely curious here… are those pics of the actual individual being mentioned? Also, isn't there an age requirement in PF? Why is there a 12 year old in there?
visions Posted March 22 Posted March 22 I wanna know if all the people's whose first thought was "shaving in a gym is weird" have ever dealt with the severe body dysmorphia that some trans women in particular have to go through. If she had to quickly shave her face to feel a modicum of gender acceptance for herself, who f***ing cares if it's a gym bathroom. Instead of people minding their business, she was gawked at and recorded in a bathroom like all she exists for is to be right wing ammo in a war against trans people as a whole. Yet your first thought is still "that's sooooo weird" PLEASE try to show more empathy. 3 4

Its like...they are curious but would never fully support. I wonder if thats why some cis women are mad too, their men/boyfriends/husbands want a trans/fem. I noticed this too seems 40% of users r str8 men looking for trans women. As a cis gay it's become impossible to find hook ups now lol Edited March 22 by Into The Void 1
Reginald Posted March 22 Posted March 22 If only PF would sue this woman for lost revenue. I can't stand seeing these entitled Karens with their cellphones thinking they're the Gestapo. F off. Attention-seeking bigot. 1
Blue Monday Posted March 22 Posted March 22 It really is so easy to mind your business. The way they weaponize children to fuel their hate filled agendas but have absolutely nothing to say about child labor laws being rolled back in conservative states Also these ever notice how they have no problem filming and taking pictures of strangers yet the second you flip the script and start recording them and catch them doing something racist or bigoted they freak out? 4
tost1 Posted March 22 Posted March 22 Shaving in the gym is disgusting, no one is that busy that they don't have the time to do it at home

Let me ask, do you also applaud when blackpilled teenagers murder their transgender classmates? Does it make you happy to know that one of my trans friends tried to kill herself last week? Where (if at all) do you draw the line on bigotry? Edit: And you have a non-binary artist in your signature?? Edited March 22 by Reginald 1
Princess Aurora Posted March 22 Posted March 22 I still don't understand how this whole transphobia scare happened all of a sudden.
