selena_lavigne Posted April 7 Posted April 7 Here are my thoughts. It's HANDS DOWN better than Sour. Sour has a near handful of songs whose production doesn't sound quality to me. This album takes time to marinate. I could not include it on my 2023 best albums list because i thought hmmm if this is as much of a step up from Sour as it is, then i have the feeling that OR3 is going to be an album I really enjoy. 1 1

If her label was smart , they would release four more singles, not to try another big hit as vampire, but imagine... Sour has reached a lot of songs non singles with high streaming numbers , by the way non singles of guts is doing well, release more singles will boost they streams that's already good being non single. Examples: The Grudge and All American *****, both has top 15 peaks at hot 100 (the same as GHB and Obsessed) So if they didn't surpass their peaks it will be ok for the era, while playlist and rádio support will make those two songs easily reach 500 millions streams in one Year. The Grudge probably would do better than pop rock singles, once her ballads are her cards. All American ***** has already 200 millions, as a 6° single, reach 500 millions still that year is pretty good. Not to mention that release singles periodically would keep daily album streams high. I would still release love is embarassing and so American, but both represents more risk, they have low peak and it's not guaranteed that radio would embrace. Also Pretty isn't pretty is reaching 100 millions now, but I imagine that that song could pull a Ghost by Bieber and Smashing. My point is , non singles is doing well, just transform some of them in single and the album will be stable and accumulated streams will be enormous. Just imagine if the other four track of sour that reached multi Platinum in us: Happier , favorite crime, Jealousy and brutal were single? It would be just the second álbum this decade with 8 multiplatinum singles with Teenage dream (Despite sour is already the second with the most tracks 8x multiplatinum) 1

She is not flopping, but unfortunately bir GHB and obsessed are pop rock too aggressive for gp liking , but even this way, I would release AAB the song reached 200 millions easily, it will easy beat brutal (another one that should've been single). Also the other songs have safer sound than previous 3 singles. Guts is worth having a lot of singles .
