Not even to be a negative Nancy, but Drake just took the biggest hit to his credibility yet. He's by no means done, but Kendrick turned the volume up on how a lot of people quietly feel about him. Drake's Pop-i-er moments and collabs (like what's coming with Camila) have never been his bread and butter. They've kind of been side things that he gets a pass for doing because of the enormity and automated nature of his success in Hip-Hop. As such, given the awkward positioning he has in his own lane right now, the timing is actually terrible for this Camila collab. Because, in ideal circumstances, he'd be laying low for a while. I just don't see a Pop moment with him all aboard as something he'd do as his next move after taking such a big L in his main lane. Camila may have to do with this as a feature on the album that gets the single/video treatment at a later stage. Or risk putting it out now and not benefitting from what she probably thought would be automated success because it's "Drake". Edited May 8 by Cbreezy 1 1

vinicius Posted May 7 Posted May 7 She should change him for someone else. I would respect her more if she replaces him for someone more B, C-list or indie. If the song is good, it will be good regardless of the feature. And if we think Drake was a good name to help with sales and streams, now it's not the case.
