perfectillusion204 Posted October 23 Posted October 23 Still one of my fav albums of the year. I'm expecting Chanel No.5 & June Gloom to be at the top of my Spotify Wrapped
Kern Posted November 15 Posted November 15 are we ever even getting a new era after this? So many things went wrong and it ended with her literally leaving the internet 1
Kern Posted November 15 Posted November 15 1. album title and date leaking in advance 2. bantley so mad they left the fandom to tate mcrae 3. Drake... I don't even know where to start with this 4. charli xcx comparisons 5. unfortunate 2 useless interludes on the album 6. no tour 7. useless deluxe that did nothing 5
Julián Posted November 16 Posted November 16 Still listen to this regularly. Baby pink is highkey ROTY. Justice for C, XOXO Camila is the pop legend we dont deserve. We failed her. She randomly comes every two-three years, drops AOTY, gets dragged and made fun of and leaves @Sebas 1
Asparagus Spears Posted November 16 Posted November 16 I come back to this so often. This is how you do an era. It's a shame people didn't catch on to it more. I really want Camila to succeed. She works hard 6
camilacabelloslaps Posted November 17 Posted November 17 Still listen to this like crazy. Easily her best album and era yet the GP paid it dust. I luv it deserves bam bam level success 1
Danai G Posted November 17 Posted November 17 (edited) I am sorry but for me, this album had no longevity. I gave it a second listen after the GRAMMYs fuzz and it just...still didn't click. During these past few months, I've been listening to my favourite tracks from time to time but the album as a whole was forgotten. My main issue is that while I respect the change in sound and aesthetic, the album as a whole was not it. Most of the songs were pretty mediocre and the only ones that made me kinda excited are I Luv It, He Knows, BOAT and June Gloom. The Drake features were honestly so unnecessary and the singles choices could have been better (Channel No. 5 and Godspeed, I'm looking at you). I lso think that the album should have had more upbeat and less slow songs, it would match more with the era. Anyway, I admit that it's sad that this got so overlooked but it is what it is. Lack of promo and hype played a major role and of course the different sound might have turned the gp off. Let's hope that Camila's label won't abandon her and will handle the next era better (if we'll ever get to see it). Edited November 17 by Danai G 2 2
camilacabelloslaps Posted November 17 Posted November 17 Only song k don't use is twentysomethings. How that made the original track listing baffles me. Baby pink deserved 1

Europe Posted November 17 Posted November 17 I only use B.O.A.T. at this point. Hopefully new music is not far.

Danai G Posted November 17 Posted November 17 Something I forgot to mention: will we ever get a tour? So far she has said nothing about touring. I had assumed that she would have announced it by now and since she did some festivals this summer, she seems ready to hit the stage again. 2

Bhabylon Posted November 20 Posted November 20 Damn so she wasn't even able to book a little stage at Coachella

Matchatea Posted November 21 Posted November 21 So no touring? Tell her she can come and open for Ari since she is planning her tour. They had dancer callbacks recently 1 1
Papi Juancho Posted November 21 Posted November 21 ngl I forgot the album existed only PWIC and HK are on my daily "autoplay" on Spotify. Her team sucks, this new label sucks, she doesn't suck because I know she was excited with this era. She worked hard, as we can see in the performances, but the label paid dust with the random and weak promo. They did a lot of things but at the same time they did nothing, they forgot radio and playlisting. Even Familia had better promo. Not even a tour, just a bunch of festivals... Even Tate McRae, Charli, Troye, and a lot of khias are touring, but not her? 1

I'm mad because you can see how hungry she is when she puts her azzz on stage. She loves performing, she loves people cheering for her... at least a little tour in theatres 1
blastoisebaby Posted November 21 Posted November 21 I think this was a pretty solid album and deserved more TBH - I do think Pink XOXO would've been a massive record for her had it been a full song - waste of a PP collab and had the Drake song been more of a He Knows vs a 2016 Drake left over or maybe a Bad Bunny or Rauw collab instead to bring in the Familia sound - He Knows,I Luv It,B.O.A.T , Dade County, PWIC , Baby Pink and Channel No.5 are still on rotation. Not touring is smart tho - this album is a bridge to greener grass vs the green grass , ladder to the roof. Especially if she continues to experiment - this album will separate GP fans vs Niche ones. I think if her next record can be a love child between Familia and CXOXO - she would have her magnum opus - cause to me Familia though I don't listen to all the songs is her best work to date 1
Kern Posted November 21 Posted November 21 (edited) you're sorry baby? me too... you should see me like this when I leave you Edited November 21 by Kern
