Uncatena Posted June 26 Posted June 26 i dont have any horses in this race, really, but Slate is like... the WORST review publication I know. they LOVE to be anti-anything, besides the point and contradictive, to the point of me knowing a movie is worth checking out when they give it a bad review. 6

BlahBlahBlah Posted June 26 Posted June 26 Just be ready for the pitchfork score... the way they dragged her unprovoked in the BRAT review was a low blow and definitely is setting the stage for like a 4.8
Superbitch Posted June 26 Posted June 26 Oh slant is always a ***** but get ready for pitchfork lmao. They Stan charli and usually are so hard on popstars. They love rappers, weird or indie singers… im expecting something HARSH and will have a lot of charli **** in it. So predictable. 1-4 for sure.
kos1692 Posted June 26 Posted June 26 I NEED TO HEAR PRETTY WHEN I CRY RIGHT NOW PLEASEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!
Superbitch Posted June 26 Posted June 26 Still wondering who the **** thought he knows was a good idea lmao. It's good in a track #16 tea. 2 1

Bhabylon Posted June 26 Posted June 26 (edited) Yeah, He Knows was not a good promo choice. Should've been Dade County Dreaming -- I think that would've helped this rollout way more Edited June 26 by Bhabylon 3

It's really weak as a single. Truth be told, I haven't really listened to it since the first few days it was released (and even then it was forced). I LUV IT on the other hand hasn't left the top spot from my head the moment it was released and I still listen to it daily. Trust me it was a huge smash in my apartment and AirPods Channel No 5 got more plays from me in 5 days than Nobody Knows since May. I have no idea what possessed Camila and her team to release that track as a single even if Drake blocked them from releasing Hot Uptown. There's Dade County Dreaming that sounds like fire, and looks like had a video ready? If not that then Pretty When I Cry sounds so radio-ready. Or, even releasing one of the slower songs would've been better. June Gloom could've become a viral smash due to its lyrics. The production is fire too. I feel like it really slowed down the era. And I know arts >>> charts, but there's a reason why Nobody Knows hasn't charted ANYWHERE even with the radio ads. It simply lacks a hook and isn't catchy enough to keep the listener's interest. The production is great, I'll give it that and agree with you on this. It's just the type of song that should have remained an album deep cut. Edited June 26 by Solarie
