Do you also feel like the reception has become more positive now compared to the first I Luv It snippet. Now that she talked about the album and what are the influences people know now that she's not jus trying to "be cool" for the sake of it and is doing "hyperpop" or anything like that to pander to gays.

I think so, we're getting a clearer view of what her vision was writing the songs and making the album. I'm so excited to hear what sh'e been working on all this time

a buzz single

'Chanel No. 5' really cracked open the album. For me, as a writer, that was the voice I wanted for the album: coy, cheeky and kind of devious."

On "Chanel No. 5," Cabello sings between trippy piano interludes, her falsetto distorted, about being a "cute girl with a sick mind." At one point she even raps — she has recently taken inspiration from "c–ty, cocky girl rap" like Flo Milli and Baby Tate, she explains.

"We realized we hit this key transition in the process," says Harris, who co-produced the album, of the track. "That's the first song we knew was very C,XOXO, and creating every song forward, we would ask if it felt as true as 'Chanel.' It was our north star." ("Chanel No. 5" will be released pre-album drop as a fan track.)

If it's pushed as a single with the proper streaming playlists and radio with the album release it CAN be a hit… but they've already sent He Knows to radio, so unless they drop it im not sure how this is going to pan out. But let us pray

So you are telling me track 8 and right after track 9 are the DRAKE songs and aren't not explict???

:rip:

You know what, if she doesn't make the drake collab a single with radio and todays top hits on June 28th then im convinced she wants to fail and have the era be short lived. If that's the case then whatever, have at it hun

I think she said the one with City Girls was the last one she wrote for the album, not that it's the last song on the tracklist?

On the nearly two-minute-long interlude "Uuugly," sequenced immediately after "Hot Uptown," he sings over soft synth beats and Cabello's ghostly backing vocals

this is Uuugly description so is after HUT

So Uuugly is an interlude for track 10, not Hot Uptown. Got it!

Completely forgot about June Gloom. That's a bummer.

I'm not sure I have high expectations for the album at the moment. I thought it was more experimental as "I LUV IT", but it seems like it's very "He Knowsy" and full of ballads.
