I mean, it's Disney. They care about branding and optics. Miley has cleaned up her act and won one of the biggest honors in music. Lindsay is still making her comeback, but I imagine she'll be inducted soon enough.

Yes? It's not like a super prestigious thing. They inducted Menzel, Bell, Gad, and Groff in 2022 basically just for voice acting in Frozen.

Being the lead on a hit TV show for 20 years seems pretty legendary. 

 

I'm sure there's cases, but by and large the honorees selected seem pretty legendary in their respective categories.
