not to sound like a broken record and old/corny, but i truly don't feel that young artists have this anymore... this conviction, the willingness to stand your ground and be who you are. this clip feels like i'm watching Whitney or one of the legends.

You answered yourself there. Pink is in her 40's. She's not young. She wouldn't answer like this in 2000 as well when she was in her 20's.

that's definitely part of it, but the essence of who they are doesn't change. like i can't imagine Olivia Rodrigo or Billie talking like this when they're older. Ariana likes to play with the diva persona and will clock reporters but... it just doesn't feel the same imo. you can look at early Pink or Madonna and they definitely had moments of pettiness and immaturity, but they also had a drive and a willingness to grow and change, whilst with Britney from day 1 she has always been the exact same sweetheart who was also willing to question society.

This clip is not really the full picture. I hear the answer but not the question.
