Wildcat Posted March 17 Posted March 17 Quote The Madonna fan and wheelchair user who the singer recently called out for not standing up during a concert, and then quickly apologized to, isn't holding anything against the Queen of Pop. In a new interview with TMZ, Vanessa Gorman said she didn't think Madonna was being mean with her remark and simply made a mistake. "Some people are in wheelchairs and can stand — she had no idea I was paralyzed," Gorman said. In any case, she applauded the singer for apologizing immediately and on mic, and told TMZ she went on to enjoy the rest of the concert, which reportedly took place at Rogers Arena in Vancouver, Canada, last month. https://ew.com/madonna-wheelchair-fan-not-offended-by-singer-scolding-her-for-sitting-8610138 https://www.tmz.com/2024/03/15/madonna-wheelchair-fan-breaks-silence-concert-callout-not-angry-vancouver/ Thoughts? 1

Popular Post Alongoria13 Posted March 17 Popular Post Posted March 17 Yes because the lady understands how apologies work unlike chronically online people with a short fuse attempting to speak over a disabled woman as if they have walked on her shoes 26 5 1
tiagol88 Posted March 17 Posted March 17 How is this a thing She apologized when she realized the woman was in a wheelchair and that was it. Like…there’s people dying out there lmao 11 3

Trent W Posted March 17 Posted March 17 Yawn, discussing this is pointless The people dragging madonna for this don’t care about this person or how they feel They just want a reason to drag her and that happens with all popstars 6 4

Delirious Posted March 17 Posted March 17 I feel like the main issue with all the fake outrage is Madonna was literally joking & just having fun. She literally didn't care if not everyone stood up. She just wanted everyone to have a good time and participate. It's not because she had a large ego and wanted everyone to respect her by standing up. So yea all the outrage is because you hate Madonna and nothing's gonna change that. Not even the 'victim' expressing her side of the story lol 4 3
alexrex Posted March 17 Posted March 17 Madonna has done worse things than this, like MDNA for example, yet people choose this to be upset about when she apologized to the lady. 2
John Slayne Posted March 17 Posted March 17 also, another aspect of this i don't get is people saying 'why did Madonna even say anything, people are allowed to sit', like... have y'all ever been outside at a gig? it's very common for singers/drag performers/stand up comedians/etc. to jokingly call out people in the audience that look bored or disinterested in some way. it's not that deep 4
Bubble Tea Posted March 17 Posted March 17 A mistake was made, an apology was given, a fan got to interact with the queen of pop, Madonna's name was kept in the headlines. Everybody wins. 2 1
