Quite the opposite. Miriam is an anti-fascist activist, and the reason why she's anti-American is because she believes that America is a racist country. She's spent her adult life advocating for progressive causes, most notably her support for Palestine (despite being Jewish). She despises America because of the racism in the country, rather than being racist herself.
