But keep in mind that Avril and P!nk did not have TTH, unlike Justin. So he's doing worse than Avril Lavigne in 2024. So Avril outstreamed and outacclaimed JT 1
spiritboy Posted March 18 Posted March 18 I doubt he sold more than 25k units with those tragic streaming. If he had impressive physical numbers, surely HDD would've mentioned right?

Kacey also has tragic streams but she has about 10 vinyl variants, a webstore discounted digital album with exclusive bonus track, signed bundles, etc cushioning her pure sales while Justin has 4 vinyl retailing for $35-55 and that's... it. 1

That might be the case WW, but in the US she had 8 songs charting on US Spotify upon release. That's pretty impressive for her standards. JT on the other hand had 0. 1

Considering she's doing a bit less than star-crossed in Spotify US and that had 30k TEA + SEA, she probably has 50k+ pure sales doing the heavy lifting. Justin is probably in the 20-25k region with streams but nowhere close to Kacey in pure (so #7-10 for him at most unless HDD missed something, while she battles for #1 and both of them collapse next week cause of the dire streams).
Erreur2 La Nature Posted March 19 Posted March 19 I am gonna laugh so hard next week when I see that Faceless stan defending the album debuting at 35k
Gorjesspazze9 Posted March 19 Posted March 19 Wow it's even worse than I thought. I wasn't expecting the album to bomb this bad Album still good tho…

In the end, he never outlasted them, he just had less albums to compete with. He outlasted them since his hit-making days went from 2002-2017 (and that's without NSync) so that's 15 years while Christina's was from 1999-2008 (nine years) and Britney's 1998-2013 (15 years) and with his NSync days it's even more.

That's… not how it works. Either way, Britney has a Top 10 hit this decade. Justin hasn't had one in 6 years and probably never will ever again. Also, his peers also include Beyoncé, P!nk, Shakira, etc. 1

Zaynsus Posted March 19 Posted March 19 Don't streaming numbers usually decrease on the weekends ? They'll probably rise with Monday's update (or not).

But he had like 3 albums out from 2002 to 2017 though. Not enough opportunities to really feel oversaturated, while Britney had 9 albums out at that point, and Xtina 5. You could say he definitely outlasted Xtina I guess.
