A new addition to the iconic sci-fi horror Alien franchise, a television series at FX on Hulu is slated for early 2025. Created, written, and directed by Noah Hawley (FargoLegion) & executive produced by Ridley Scott, Alien: Earth takes place on Earth 30 years before the original 1979 film. Hawley confirmed that the series will be tied more into the style and mythology of the original 1979 film rather than the prequel films Prometheus and Alien: Covenant.

I read on the wiki that the next Alien film with Sigourney was supposed to be on Earth but i guess they scrapped it for a tv show

 

i wonder how the Aliens will work on Earth

the worldbuilding in this needs to be impeccable considering we have never really seen Earth in this universe. im worried.

Not sure I want Alien on Earth before Ripley. But at the same time we know Weyland was looking for it in Alien 1 so they must have some reasons to go get it as they got no news from Covenant vessel.

also have never seen the "v. Predator" films…

the world building in this is gonna be key, and since we canonically see or even know extremely little about Earth in the Alien universe, they have a pretty blank slate. let's see...
