Trailer for VI looks ******* sick :jonny5:

I'm scared for BO numbers even though I've heard several people saying "VI" looks cool, so hopefully it won't bring the numbers down like sequels usually do.

I'm actually convinced that the BO numbers will top "Scream (2022)", but we'll see.

I hope so, though I will be happy if it matches it too.

I feel the same way (in terms of being a little scared about BO numbers), especially because this film has a bigger budget ($10 million more than 5cream) so it kind of needs to do better to make the same amount. Obviously it's not that big of a difference, but still the last thing I want is for the film to flop and Paramount subsequently cancel any plans for another entry.

I hope you're right! Honestly, and this is just the pessimist in me, I think it'll actually do a little worse than 2022's.

4 does not exist to me.

Y'all I will NEVER forget the first time watching the car scene in Scream 2 AND Gale's chase sequence :wanda:Top tier moments I fear, and to think they were able to pull all of that off with multiple rewrites and a tight turnaround time. Wild.

These 2 are really some of the best horror suspense scenes ever.

I avoid this thread because I don't want any spoilers, even in theory, but can someone who tracks the numbers and all that, tell me how this compares to other recent movies so far? I have a good feeling, but just saw that "65" movie moved to March 10th as well.

What’s everyone’s current ranking of the movies

1>4>2>5>3

The middle 3 are changeable for me, Scream3 is always last, but still I enjoy it, just not as much as the others, so as long as 6 can top that then it’s still a win in my eyes given that we have no Neve this time around

In a lot of ways I actually feel as though Scream 4 has stood the test of time. It has, in my opinion, one of the best third acts, its commentary on gratuitous violence in the oughts in horror came across well, and the motives for the killers were ahead of their time. Sure the glossy visual effect is the pits, and the opening is certainly polarizing, but it has so much going for it :jamming:

There's rumors this is getting a superbowl ad :duca:

WAIT. Did Scream 5 have any chase scenes at all? I don’t think Chad counts.

Nope. That was one of the things that was disappointing from Scream 5 even though I enjoyed it.

I think they will have plenty of chase scenes in NYC.

I would just flip 1 & 5 and I think this is my ranking.

The last Scream was horribly bad. I hope this one is bearable.

Screams 1-3 are free to watch on YouTube now

1 truly is the only GREAT one huh :rip: 2 was good too, but you can tell Halle was supposed to be the killer before the rewrite
