Really want to know the plot

I'm glad she's the main character again

It sucks, because I truly think the last film freshened up the series. I'd rather a new group than have Neve come back when her story is SO DONE.

It's just not exciting to see her in danger again when we know nothing will happen to her. Not that I would want to, that's why I was okay with her part in 5cream. Let her live in peace, she passed on the torch.

Ugh, I still hate the fact Neve crawled back to please those Zionists :deadbanana2:

MTE. When will they understand Scream is supposed to be teen/young adult movies? Even in the last couple of movies Sidney, Dewey and Gale were completely unneeded and only held back the main plot.

I feel really bad for Neve and the way Melissa's horde of low-IQ stans have been hurling death and rape threats her way. While what happened to her is sad and I don't judge anyone who is hesitant on supporting this film or anything produced by Spyglass, it's ludicrous to insinuate that Neve owes Melissa anything. I find it odd that people think Neve has some moral obligation to bat for someone she only worked with for two weeks when she's an actress who is trying to make a living. If Melissa offered to take a pay cut for VI so Neve could be paid fairly (the same way the cast of Friends and Scooby Doo did for their fellow co-stars), then I would understand, but she still went to do VI knowing the gross way they treated Neve. For that reason alone, Neve doesn't owe her ****.  People are acting like it's easy for C-List actresses in their 50s like Neve to get big projects when she's at that point in her career where she'll only be getting mom roles and most likely will rarely, if ever, see checks above six figures. I don't blame Neve for taking what would be the biggest paycheck she'll ever get again.

People are well within their right to criticize Spyglass, but Neve also has every right to reclaim her franchise and save it from ruin. If she let the series go in limbo to the point where the rights get repossessed eventually, another power-corrupt studio would treat her like worthless trash, even worse than Barber did. I do also take issue with some of her recent comments praising Spyglass, so I agree with you there, but it's obvious that she must have some agreement with Spyglass to spin the damage control as part of her pay. They also seemed aware she would be willing to concede, and I don't necessarily blame Neve for that.

I truly believe that Neve is just playing them back like they were playing her. It's why she got Kevin to direct and why she negotiated for an EP credit. It's about artistic integrity and reclaiming the franchise after she compromised herself because she thought she'd be out of work after COVID. You have to remember the period before Scream 4, Neve took FOREVER to agree to that film. She kept rejecting scripts left, right, and center. It was over a year before she finally said yes. Neve had every logical reason to do Scream 4, but she kept saying *no*, despite how her career was objectively a graveyard at that point. But one of the big complaints with 3 was her presence being smaller, so the Weinsteins were never letting up without her being fully on board. People turn her Radio Silence letter story into a joke, but Neve was really serious. Not just because she and Wes were close, but because she obviously was conceding to not only being lowballed but also putting the entire franchise up for adoption by total strangers. And the reality is, James Vanderbilt, Guy Busick, Matt, and Tyler weren't really fans. Rewatch 5 and VI and you can tell these people weren't into the series as a whole, just certain aspects of it.

You guys act like Neve owns the franchise. Scream VI did well without her, and many characters could carry the franchise at this point. There's really no guarantee she'll "save' the franchise when Spyglass has shown that they don't give a **** about talent and will kick them to the curb or lowball them at the drop of a hat.

I need Stu to come back. Go full camp and crazy cause nothing matters anymore when it comes to this franchise. Add aliens, who cares?

I still wish they went the New Nightmare route where the real actors are attacked in real life.

Starting the movie with Drew Barrymore getting killed in her Hollywood home the same way her character died in S1.

This would actually be fantastic and the perfect way to bring some of the OG cast back.

Melissa stans keep insisting on wishing death and rape on Neve, her family, and 7 supporters, but I take joy in knowing that this franchise is going back to the woman who rightfully owns it instead of the medicated teleprompter. Melissa stans can try hurling vile ageism and antisemitism at Neve but she can go to sleep knowing she built a legacy and didn't kill her "career" in two seconds. I can't wait for more news and am

so happy knowing this franchise was given back to it's rightful owner instead of the ***** Four

That being said, I do really fear for the safety of the cast/crew and those seeing 7 in the theatre when the film comes out. There is truly nothing stopping from a deranged low-IQ psycho from showing up on Neve's doorstep or shooting up a showing of 7 as a way to avenge Melissa. Knowing that so many self-proclaimed "progressives" are comfortable threatening to physically assault a Jewish woman knowing that antisemitism is already at an all-time high is disturbing:

I wouldn't be surprised if they used the cult plot line. Kind of seem logical. A group of fanatics are upset Sidney and Gale keeps surviving.

So Melissa stans should've boycotted Abigail given that Universal (the distributor) is Zionist too. She could easily take time out of her busy schedule being an activist and taking pictures with smelly losers at horror conventions to tell her fans to stop threatening Neve and the rest of the cast and crew. She has purposefully let tensions build up and gratingly avoided saying anything positive about Neve in the press since last November. She could have prevented ALL of this had she publicly said she doesn't feel animosity towards Neve and that nothing that happened is her fault, but instead she's staying silent while her fans are threatening to physically assault a mother of two and hurling ageist and antisemetic language her way. There is nothing stopping a Melissa stan from trying to harm Neve at a convention and she could easily prevent that from telling her fans to cool it, but she won't.
