I'm still praying for a October 21 2024 release  We need the Halloween season to give the movie legs and make it the biggest movie of the franchise!

There’s no way it’ll make that release. Q1 2025 at the earliest considering the strike.

I've been saying the whole situation has been weird. Scream VI having a big opening and outgrossing the last three installments and Paramount still refusing to green light the next film. Then Radio Silence taking a horror film with a competing studio. Hope they can still find a way to finish their trilogy but I'm less and less optimistic.

I don’t find it too weird considering radio silence was already locked in for another film so maybe they’re waiting to announce until they can find a way to do if with them again? Their lead and their directors are both committed to that movie so it’s understandable, hopefully they find a way to make it happen sooner rather than later

Very true, I might just be a bit pessimistic :gaycat6:

I just want Hayden to be back for ScreamVII

So no Scream 7 anytime soon?

Welp. It’s lowkey confirmed. Idk how I feel about this. I love Happy Death Day and Freaky but I hope Landon takes a more serious tone with Scream VII.

Welp get ready for a comedic Scream 3 mess, this man only had 1 good movie :chick3: RS had more and they also had significantly less to compare to, I bet good money no Jenna too and if they really push it I can see this one focusing on Sidney's life only as a fan service type thing and taking a break from the new cast so they can milk the franchise for more sequels... Paramount said we made this IP purchase for a reason and you will watch and sit and say thank you and we will :biblionny:

Since this rumor was true I bet good money the rumor about them not waiting for Jenna either to film is true too, I bet they don't want to wait a cool 2 years to make another movie because they also bought the Scream TV show IP rights last year after 5 smashed so I bet they want to milk the movies dry so they can then start the TV series streaming exclusively on Paramount+ ofc again and milk that too before they lose the rights :coffee2:

They can’t shoot unless the strike is over so Jenna will mostly be free by then.

Also, reliable sources say that Radio Silence will still write the screenplay so that gives me hope

Nice, but about Jenna, it's also a question of who's offering the most money next I'd imagine.

We want a 3-year window anyway to really mirror Scream 3 and since Landon is directing, I guess the campiness will be mirrored as well

Radio Silence will only be producing Scream VII.
