camilacabelloslaps Posted June 7 Posted June 7 I still have 4 songs left but I actually really like this. I agree she hasn't progressed as an artist at all but her music is fun and cute and it suits her. She's not an insane vocalist so I don't expect much from her. Forget how to love and hate it here are the stand outs for me so far. But rollin and whoops are solid 1

Tylerbv Posted June 7 Posted June 7 Whoops is honestly fun. The other songs are cute but I'd love some lyrical depth. 1
Musicmajor Posted June 7 Posted June 7 This is such a positive, easy listen! Is she reinventing the wheel? No, but she found her sound and she sounds GREAT in this bag. No skips for me, but definitely some stand out I will be adding to my playlist. I think this is her most cohesive and quality work IMO. I remember on Takin' It Back, there were more skips and low lows for me. This album has no skips but a lot of the songs sound the same in every aspect. 16 tracks is also very bloated (for me), I prefer a nice 10-12 tracks because a lot of them can get lost in the sauce, so to speak. Overall, a very good showing for Meghan!
kos1692 Posted June 7 Posted June 7 What happened to Meghan? This album is not interesting , the melodies are so boring, she needs to reinvent herself ! 3
kayliah Posted June 7 Posted June 7 i didnt even bother to give the album a stream cuz i hated all the pre released songs so far. The production sucks and nothing is memorable. Thank god made you look salvaged her career for a minute. sadly, the songs are disposable.

But rollin and whoops are solid I feel like part of the reason she hasn't progressed much as an artist is because the doo-wap and self-love inspired stuff is what's doing well for her + is what most people remember her by. Made u look was doing NUMBERS on TikTok I'm really liking the album so far, tho!! Better than her last one. It's so fun, catchy, and definitely a confidence booster Edited June 8 by AvrilMoonlight
Almighty Gaga Posted June 8 Posted June 8 She said in her podcast that this is her last album under Epic. Hopefully she doesn't renew and now gets signed under a label that can actually promote her. 2

DuffStan Posted June 8 Posted June 8 Been Like This remains the superior bop of the record and the right choice for lead single. 41M streams is not so bad, I thought it bombed?

Suilen Posted June 9 Posted June 9 The album was off to a great start with To The Moon, then she was back to her usual, which isn't a bad thing, but yeah. Out of the two T-Pain collabs I definitely prefer Love on Hold. The things got a bit more interesting from that point on, too. I Don't Do Maybe and Hate It Here are cute, though I don't mind the second half in general. Overall, not a bad record, it's just that the onslaught of the samey doo-*** songs in the first half might do it some disservice.
sam.teas Posted June 9 Posted June 9 Despite its easy listening quality and a few charming tracks - such as "To The Moon," which I particularly enjoyed - the album suffers from excessive production repetition, leading to a sense of monotony. Overall, a shorter and more concise album would have been preferable, avoiding unnecessary lengthiness. 2
lipes Posted June 9 Posted June 9 I'm sorry but I love "I Wanna Thank Me"… so catchy for me, I've been listening a lot to it. Album is okay I guess, not bad but def not her strongest effort either. 1
