Post Malone Posted May 9 Posted May 9 Obscure ass deep cut from a panned album French Exit above the carefully crafted, non-demo pop perfection that made Dua's career DSN
Kristie Kuwa Posted May 9 Posted May 9 Ok so generally solid global update today. If u are into that garage that is TTPD, its not surprising u cant really get into RO. 2
Burqa Posted May 9 Posted May 9 falling forever is a career highlight and i will not tolerate any slander. it has the best lyrics on the entire album. i know it's not folklore level of lyricism but yall are too harsh. there's nothing as bad as "your words are like chinese water torture" if anything the model line in happy for you is the one that sticks out the most i used to think the "i could dance all night" line in illusion was a filler and very lazy but i've come to appreciate it. it helps build the whole "dance with the illusion" metaphor as in enjoying it for what it is knowing better. in fact i'm starting to understand the album a lot better with time. there's a very clear lyrical thread on the album and it takes a turn from the most immature songs (houdini, whatcha doing, french exit) to the whole second half being a lot more reflective. FN doesn't have this at all no matter how much you try to convince me it's miles ahead of RO 2 1

The songwriting, the stories and the tea is enough. Sure its not Taylor's best, but i like folklore, evermore and midnights so yeah i like TTPD. And 1989 is iconic so all those pop girls dont have nothing on Tay Tay. Edited May 9 by kayliah
mike_int Posted May 9 Posted May 9 Great: End Of An Era Houdini Training Season These Walls Illusion Falling Forever Very Good: Whatcha Doing, Maria Good: Anything For Love, Happy For You OK: French Exit
watermelonshake Posted May 9 Posted May 9 Noticed she finally added the ability to buy the signed card without having to buy a multi-format bundle to the UK website. Got me to buy a CD I wasn't going to buy otherwise, so if the goal was to sell more it worked.
Cain Posted May 9 Posted May 9 The way I know Warner is BOOKING those sessions with the hottest pop producers out right now to create an air tight pop masterpiece with DL4, she's going to come back full swing, it's going to be her LOUD, her Emancipation, her Confessions She's going to come back with a vengeance 9

The first 10 songs sound so samey and uninspired - you should hold Taylor to bigger standards, shes regressing crazily. Anyway, i really enjoy all.songs on RO
Burqa Posted May 9 Posted May 9 the only sessions she better be booking are with kevin parker to add a psychedelic twist to some outtakes for the deluxe 1
