It’s not like she’s a particularly talented actress. Congrats on ending Ellen, but now she just comes across as holier than thou and feels she can do no wrong. Isn't she a second generation nepo baby? She's always had this attitude and it's partly why she felt so comfortable calling Ellen out on her lies on her own show. Sometimes she uses her nepo powers for good, whereas others... yeah. She clearly had no personal stake in this film and clearly don't give a ****. Maybe her dragging it is a coping mechanism, but more likely I think she just knows there won't be any consequences for her and simply doesn't care. 4

This. Also she is very uncharismatic and doesn’t manage to pull in audience because people see through her nepobaby plant facade. The movie was trash but she is no Meryl Strip to go around as if she had the chops to do anything better.

Being a nepo baby she probably takes her career and opportunities for granted. I bet if she had to scrap by and work her way up from the bottom like others in the industry she would be more than happy with the massive pay check. 1

TROPICUM Posted March 10 Posted March 10 it could’ve been meryl streep as madame web and it still would’ve flopped the blame is on the lazy ass top producers for wanting to create a money machine franchise like avengers or whatever that was (who’s also flopping nowadays) move on, create an original concept, STOP super hero movies. let the talent you have within your personnel (writers, directors, actors) shine through original movies, not the biopic of a random character of another random comic book that was released in the 90s dakota went a little overboard but she never spoke a single lie seethe and BE BETTER @sony 1 1

"Lots of people at Sony are questioning her star power" ->They should have questioned it before hiring her. What successful movie has she lead so far? Besides Fifty Shades I mean - because the success of that movie had nothing to do with who was starring it. (genuinely asking I don't keep up with her outside of her Elen meme thingy) Sony, and movie studios in general, should focus more on media training their stars if their stars instead of blowing money on reshoots and tampering with artistic vision. Also, don't hire directors that cannot keep it within budget so that you need exec producers to step in for almost every super hero production put out.

So they deserve these lashings and have no place talking about her in this context considering how they’re handling this franchise.
