LustSpell Posted March 8 Posted March 8 I'm actually shaking because this series has done so much for me RIP king, you brought so much great into this world
Jynx Posted March 8 Posted March 8 Legend. May he rest in peace. He'll live on forever with Dragon Ball.
JO1s Posted March 8 Posted March 8 This is such a tragic loss. He kind of pioneered a lot of elements of modern shonen with dbz. The first real crossover series too. Anime wouldn't be where it was today without dragon ball and dbz. 8 3
ATRL Administrator Lee!! Posted March 8 ATRL Administrator Posted March 8 Was taken aback when I saw the announcement. So sad
Sugar-Rush Posted March 8 Posted March 8 Omg, this so sad. I could never get into Dragon Ball so I admit that I wasn't a fan of his work, but Dragon Ball heavily inspired Naruto, One Piece and Bleach, so I respect Mr. Toriyama and thank him for revolutionizing Shonen manga.
Tcharm Posted March 8 Posted March 8 very sad news. Akira was THE Mangaka legend that influenced so many other mangakas and shonen series May he rest in peace.
hausofdave Posted March 8 Posted March 8 Dragon Ball is genuinely probably one of the most important pieces of fiction ever made. rip to the GOAT 1
Gorjesspazze9 Posted March 8 Posted March 8 omg. Rip King words can't explain how important Dragon ball was to me and my family and friends
New Edition Posted March 8 Posted March 8 I think he hit his head somehow. He died of acute subdural hematoma. This is just so sad and I'm kind of shaking. I just feel so ******* terrible. He's inspired so many artists around the world and has been such a presence in so many people's childhood's including my own. 1
Nicholai Posted March 8 Posted March 8 You really don't understand how current and influential Dragon Ball still is to this day in Latin America. Thank you king for being a big part of my childhood. The relationship with my dad grew up a lot because of Dragon Ball. RIP 3
Johnnyboi Posted March 8 Posted March 8 RIP King. His influence and legacy can’t be understated. Culture wouldn’t be the way it was if it wasn’t for him and his work. DBZ and Dragon Quest, his worked really shaped the world.
Doogle Posted March 8 Posted March 8 (edited) RIP I work in a Japanese high school and I’ve already heard it mentioned in the staff room this afternoon. So important and influential Edited March 8 by Doogle
