It's 2024. We should have some system to save airplanes before they crash. Why hasn't it been invented? :giraffe:

Flying is safer than going by car. The reason plane accidents are so widely covered in the media is because they're so Rare.mp3.  But I understand how fear of flying can be a b****. Hope you will fight it one day because there are so many places worth seeing on Earth.

Oh yes its so safe but im just so scared. I find airplanes so anti-natural lol.  In my country when i go from city to city i travel by Bus.  Even if it takes hours.
I have missed so many experiences for that reason. I been thinkin about flying to the United States in the next years cause rarely flights from there crash down.
The USA track record is very clean. We rarely heard about United States Commercial Airplanes crashes right??
There's crashes but theyre usually private planes and stuff.
I wanna visit L.A,California,Utah or Florida first. im from Southamerica.

I see more accidents in flights from asia-africa-middle east sometimes.....those scare me more.
Hope with the development of AI and new tech we will able to find a way to save airplanes in the most gruesome situations.

Of course this one sadly looked like a suicide event. No way to stop that :emofish:
I remember lookin the pictures of families and being heartbroken :emofish:

And yes. Katy was ahead of her time :gaycat2: She's too smart. Modern einstein turned singer. She was too aware. Too woke in the Witness era.
She knew the truth

don't let this stop you queen! planes are still 200,000x safer than cars in terms of fatal accidents. this incident definitely shifted my perspective a bit as well though

I thought it was confirmed it went down into the ocean… they found debris no? Surprised it’s been 10 years already.

This is a good article covering it all: https://www.theatlantic.com/magazine/archive/2019/07/mh370-malaysia-airlines/590653/

Yes they’ve known it went down into the ocean, the mystery has just been why. Pilot suicide is the most likely answer however based on what we know.

A super, super, super rare occurrence that out of the billions of flights has only happened a preciously low amount, but a tragic event nonetheless.

This event in particular has actually been a driving force in changing the culture of a lot of Asian based airlines. Wheres the US and UK airlines had long been very rigorous about ensuring pilot mental health and rest, a lot of Asian airlines had a suck it up sort of culture and some airlines had very long hours as well contributing. This crash has changed that.

So at the very least those people didn’t die in vain.

Such a sad case. I wish the pilot asked for professional help instead of ending his life and selfishly ending hundreds of lives with him.
