She was the only reason those girls had two hits in the first place let’s bffr. All in my head she only had one verse and it flopped and anything they released after she left them in the dust tanked as well.

girl.... you act like camila cabello is just this big music icon, shes barely scratching the surface to be a MPG. they all contributed to the group.

Ok let's wait for the lead single & album to see if she still has that star power you claim she has. She hasn't had a Top 10 hit in 5 years.

This group was never meant to be big. Those girls were all different from each other. Camila is the only star in the group. Normani has the talent but the girl just don't have any charisma. This Lauren Juragoo girl... just the most unbearable person on the internet right now. The other two are cute girls but just no... :coffee2:

Actually she was doing collabs and signing deals with Sony without the other girls knowing at all, and when they were all visibly upset with her in interviews as anyone would be, people started saying they were “bullying” her like yeah she got her bag but she left the others out to dry and has always been so smug about it.

C'mon, the other girls would never get what Camila got at that time. They just don't have it. They are NOT stars. Should Camila loose all of those oportunities to jump ship with the girls? :clack:

Camila ****** her way up to the top and she was right for it. She fought for more lines and jumped in relationships that could be good for her (Taylor, Selena, Shawn...) while the others were doing nothing for it.

The only star of 5th Harmony. Demi Lovato was right backnin X Factor :clap3:

I was wondering why Lauren's name was in the title since she didn't mention anyone specifically until I realized you did that so people would come in here :ahh:

I wish Camila's fans could admit how she went about things the wrong way but maybe now her fans will leave the other girls alone. :deadbanana:They had every right to be mad at her especially since she did all of this right when 5H had only one hit. It made zero sense and was just plain selfish.

Actually if you were there during their X factor days, Lauren was primed to be the star and carry the group whilst Camila was seen as jarring.

That Demi comment must have put something into Caca’s head because something shifted after that

Camila never viewed herself as part of the group. She used it as a vehicle to get to her solo career. She was doing deals, releasing singles, going to parties behind their backs… whilst claiming they bullied her. Even after all of this the other girls were trying to conciliate and she was the one that didn’t show up

Makes sense why she resonates with the Taylor/Selena school of victimhood

I wish her an ounce of luck with her new era. But don’t try to rewrite history. We all know how she got to where she is

If I could plug that Havana 0.99 cents thread I would :sistrens:

She did something wrong? I mean, she was fighting for her future. The others were dumb for not doing it for themselves too.

lol Camila was dumb to come out & reveal this because it proves that all those videos about the girls bullying her was BS. For years she played into being a victim in of bullying. She even went as far as acting like she couldn’t believe that her bandmates were “holding grudges” etc, then in a song she’s gonna say “I don’t blame the girls for how it went down”

umm why would you when you started it lmao…?

she’s highly delusional and it just goes to show that for years while she was “on top” she couldn’t careless about how bad her bandmates were being dragged. Who am I kidding though, she didn’t even step out to defend Normani when her racist fanbase was bullying her. It took days peer pressure for her to make the vague statement she did. She could’ve made a statement telling everyone to stop years ago but she used it as a vehicle to gain sympathy from the gp.

that’s why I’m not surprised that the girls (excluding Dinah) don’t give af about becoming good friends with her again. She’s not a good person & she knows it which is why she brings up 5H every time one of her flop albums is about to release.Barack Obama Mic Drop GIF

There was nothing the could do because management was literally holding them back. Ally wanted to do a solo song at one point and mgmt told her no but they let Camila do IKWYDLS. On top of that the girls had no idea Camila even did that song until it was pretty much released.

all of them were pigeonholed on purpose for mgmt to promote Camila.

Her annoying ass voice was so overused in that group. I felt really bad for real vocalists like Dinah and Ally always sidelined to make way for Camila. It’s disgusting.
Lauren was also a victim of that in a few songs (wasn’t she given zero lines in Worth It?), but at least Lauren was striking enough that she gained some attention on her own.

But the blatant push Camila was getting from the label from the beginning was so meh to witness, just because she stood out in terms of vocal tone. I’m obviously not blaming her here but the whole team behind it, but yeah the system/machine behind that group was so messed up bro, they were working in an environment where they were always made to feel like they had to compete.  It’s a miracle they were able to garner as much success as they did. It’s a testament to their work ethic and their individual talents tbh.

But...

In the end, whether or not Camila got a push or not, when they all went solo, the public couldn't care less about Dinah, Lauren and Ally.

What if those girls got the push Camila had? You think it would have made any difference? :rip:

For instance Normani was also sidelined in the group, and yet she still gathered interest when she left the group.

Maybe the other girls were not meant to be.

This is dumb and not true. I know for a fact that the other girls were all being offered collabs and side things, not just Camilla. Not to mention the group was still on the rise during all of this, and could’ve seen more success which would’ve led to a more established future for ALL of the girls.

And the only reason Lauren didn’t get the same push as her is because they are both Latina girls from Miami who would obviously occupy the same market and niche. Camilla played the game dirty and did what she was told despite them all being under shitty circumstances — which is why it might seem like she was more “invested” than the other girls

Sony is just as much to blame as Camilla in all this

But yeah, we’ll see what happens with the new music, wishing her the best but karma is what it is
