stevenisFADING Posted April 19 Posted April 19 Haven't been a fan for long (release week fan) but man I'm so happy people are taking to her. She is a STAR. I mean look at her live performances and she has IT. 3
Shinning Posted April 19 Posted April 19 She literally came out of nowhere, a couple of months ago she was a forum gay exclusive popstar and suddeny she's smashing. The bridge of this song is magical
Papi Juancho Posted April 19 Posted April 19 I like it but after 5 rep I get tired. hope the song blows ww
Marianah Adkins Posted April 20 Posted April 20 She gives me Kate Bush vibes with her voice, which is a great thing. The chorus is not hitting as I want it to but the bridge, the verse and the final chorus of the song
Marianah Adkins Posted April 20 Posted April 20 Also the "I told you sooooo" She's probably the first Gen Z girl who gagged me with her vocalss

Saintlor Posted April 20 Posted April 20 Twice when I've played this song I somehow think I played Last Christmas by mistake 1
Saintlor Posted April 20 Posted April 20 This song is kind of what Ryn Weaver's comeback song should've been 1

The chorus is not hitting as I want it to but the bridge, the verse and the final chorus of the song I feel the same way. The song is still good and instant for me, but after listening a few times I realize how much the chorus leaves me wanting more. Even if Chappell's delivery does elevate it. I will say I hope she hones in on her sound. She really is giving Kate Bush and Cyndi Lauper with her performance and I would even throw Gwen Stefani in there too. And don't get me wrong, she does it really well. But I think in general the callback to the 80s that's happening right now needs a little 2020s refinement; otherwise we're just teaching old art.
illia Posted April 20 Posted April 20 Sadly, I only like the bridge. It's one of the best bridges I've heard in years The rest of the song feels a bit flat in comparison
