I will say it's nice to see someone be self aware and go all out (financially) to fund a passion project, as a farewell. I mean, just the fact that she has the financial capacity to do so — stemming in a part from her music — shows that she's been blessed in the first place. So good on her!

From J.Lo inspring all the J.Hud's and K.Stew's out there, from her Versace dress influencing Google Images to get created to her #1 singles and a huge comeback that was easily one of the biggest songs of 2011 and had the title of the most watched video of all time (and that was when charts didn't incorporate streaming into their chart points), she's done so many huge things that she can do whatever the **** she wants now and no matter how much it flops still be a legend.

I think she just wanted to re-live the experience of making an full album project but now she can add her own touch. This tells me she always enjoyed and cherished the musical side of her career, good for her tbh

If you watch her “Greatest Love Story Never Told” documentary on Prime Video (Out NOW and 100% FRESH 🍅 on Rotten Tomatoes) she explains why she didn’t. Can recommend the doc!!

The this is me…now movie made me really like this album. So many good songs.

I appreciate her self awareness and drive to keep going beyond that looming feeling. This actually made me respect her a lot - this sort of work ethic in music isn't seen as often anymore.

Yeah this essentially what she said in the doc and that in a way all of this (and I’m paraphrasing) was a way to help heal herself because she realized jumping from marriage to marriage was due to her own lack of self love. You guys should watch it… it’s really good.
