Not really the drag OP thought it was lol. I find her very real and that's a great representation of most well established artists. None of them need to release more music or to get hits tbh, if they do it it's basically because they enjoy it and what comes with it.

Why is she setting herself up lately? First the "I have no Grammys, BAFTA, SAG, GG, Oscar, etc." comment now this? 

 

But the way she said it was more of her being realistic than anything, which is refreshing. Props to JLo for that honestly, she's a prolific worker and a hustler

all jokes aside, JLo is HARD WORKING... despite all the jokes people make online about her. Her work ethic is smth that you don't see often in pop music... but it's also tough nowadays. As a pop star you're not just competing with musicians anymore to stay relevant, your competing with influencers, etc. we're in the "attention" economy so everyone is fighting to stay relevant and get hits/likes/etc. also, Gen Z is just a whole diff generation, they've grown up with reality TV and the internet in their lives so to keep their attention is a whole diff game, people like Drake, Beyonce, Taylor, etc. have mastered it... people like Justin Timberlake, etc. are struggling to stay relevant in this current climate and that's no shade. It's just not 2007 anymore.

Either way I'm gonna check out her album!

Wdym los self esteem have you seen this woman talking and performing? 

Yall have made it clear that JLo is not wanted in the public by the younger internet crowd, she noticed. The fact she still created the project for herself despite the awareness if how it's gonna perform is the exact opposite of low self esteem.
